Mad Hippie Luminizing SPF 29+, Zinc Oxide Sunscreen, Reef-Safe Face Cream with Niacinamide & Hyaluronic Acid, 2 Oz

This stuff is wonderful by itself or under foundation. It does not leave a white cast. The finish is luminous, but not glittery or wet looking. Just makes the skin look fresh with a very slight glow. Will definitely be ordering again.

I love that this sunscreen is zinc based and has a shimmer to it. It’s really light weight and I don’t feel the need to wear a foundation with it. The best part is it’s not loaded with cancer causing chemicals!

I’m very particular about sunscreen—I check ingredients, white-cast, and whether it stings in water. This one passes all those checks, which is great. The only downsides are that my boys aren’t fans of the shimmery finish it leaves on the face, and it does sting a bit when they go in the water. I don’t think the shimmer would be an issue for girls, though. Overall, it’s effective and safe, just a matter of personal preference for appearance and water comfort.

I've been using Mad Hippie products for awhile now. I use the hydrating and luminizing SPF lotions which I basically reapply every time I go outside - which is pretty much all day. They're light and invisible. I wanted a sunscreen with a higher SPF though, so ordered this one. I have very dry, older skin so no problem with oilier products. This one is definitely oilier than the other MH sunscreens. If you are prone to breakouts, you might want to go for one of the other sunscreens. Also, The ingredients tend to separate in the tube, so you must give it a vigorous shake before putting it on. It's creamy and goes on smoothly. I don't notice a white cast at all. For me, the best sunscreen is the one you don't mind reapplying throughout the day and Mad Hippie fits the bill.

I like Tula’s “protect and glow probiotic SPF”, but don’t like the ingredients, so I went on a search for a good, cleaner dupe. This is perfect! The right amount of ‘glow’ without being obnoxiously shimmery or glittery. Not drying nor oily. I have acne prone skin in my T-zone and I’ve not noticed any breakouts. It’s my go-to daily SPF now!

I’ve been on a quest to completely convert to mineral sunscreen and have tried several. Unfortunately this one did not work for me - it’s think and hard to spread which means it is hard to rub in enough to get rid of any skin discoloration. I have fair skin and I could definitely see a slight white cast even after rubbing in as much as possible. Also I hated the way it felt on my skin, weirdly dry and sticky on my skin at the same time. I’ll use this for stuff like gardening but it’s not going to be my go to for the beach or pool. So far of the ones I have tried I like the Eleven by Venus Williams spf 50 body lotion the best and am also liking the EltaMD AOX spray spf 40.

I would grudgingly wear sunscreen because it would leave a white film or feel heavy until this sunscreen. It goes in smoothly and quickly soaks in.

OH MGOODNESS!! I have tried so many sunscreens, some I like OKAY, but this one... YOU CAN'T top this. It's so perfect, sheer, lightweight. It leaves your skin with the glow of a porcelain skin without the fake makeup glow all the You tuber's have that should return to basic nature'l for an approachable gorgeous glow. THIS luminous sunscreen is like GOLD. This is what you want. BUY IT!!

Little to no white cast (on a light skin tone), blends nicely, wears well under makeup, no stinging eyes and no weird spf smell!

This gives you a nice but subtle highlighter effect. Goes on smooth, not sticky, not smelly, no white residue and lasts all day.

I really wanted to like this product but it is a definite no for me. It’s not just glowy, it has actual sparkle and glitter in it. It pills under makeup and I can still see the sparkle and glitter when foundation and concealer is applied over top of it. Although it says it’s scent free, it still has a scent and it lingers. It also burns my sensitive skin for about 3 hours after it’s applied. The texture and application is nice but unfortunately I won’t be using this again.
