Very dim, works as it says but it is not bright enough to even register while I'm asleep. The animal sounds are hilarious and sound like a children's farm animal toy. Returned.

Very good , worth the money , walk up this morning,, without the usual horrible alarm ,, just lapping waves ambient light and whistling birds

there are a lot of the same philips knock offs, this one was one of the worst i tried. the base is very light, so it is not that stable, when you push the buttons the whole clock moves around. next, if you accidentally hit 2 buttons (the buttons are very senstive, so just brushing against one while hitting another) confuses the clock and you have to do a reset. the radio reception was not that good compared to another model, and the speaker was very tinny since it has a reduced profile vs other lamp clocks. also, there is only 1 volume button, so to turn it off, you have to cycle up to the loudest volume first before it can be turned off. similarly, with the lamp, it gets very bright which is nice, but to turn it off you have to cycle up to the highest level before it turns off. the clock does not remember the last light setting, not the last colour light setting.

Wake-Up Light alarm clocks have been around for some time. I always wanted to try one as I like to sleep in the dark with black-out blinds. This one is fairly cheap, and works very well. It is very easy to set up. The notice book is well written with good instructions.You have the choice of different lights and brightness (see pictures from other posts). You can plug it to the mains, or use AA batteries. The alarm clock lights up progressively 30 minutes before the alarm time. You have the choice between 7 different sounds, including radio.The only issue I have is that I wish the clock display had a dimer setting as I find it a bit too bright during the night. Nothing too bad but would have been a good addition (only 3 settings available : off, medium, full brightness).
