I’ve been using this eyelash dye for 4 years now. I love it, I have not had to wear mascara in the last 4 years. Some things to note as I have been using this for so long: I have not ever had any problems with skin irritation or lasting eye irritation, and have not had an excess of eyelashes fall out or anything. I tend to extend the time between uses to about 10-12 weeks, when it is completely gone I’ll redo it. I use Vaseline all the way around my whole eye before applying the dye, as it makes it so that it won’t stain the skin and can wiped off. If you get this in your eyes while applying, you will instantly feel your eyes begin to burn, and you should not attempt to save it. Just wash everything all the way off, rinse your eye extremely well, and try again tomorrow when your eye has had a chance to recover. After the first couple of attempts, l learned to apply to the roots of the lashes from the outside of the eye, instead of the inside like you’d do for mascara. Avoid getting any on the waterline, or it will make your eyes start to burn and you’ll have to wash off and try again. Look up and push it into the roots up from the cheek up for bottom lashes, and close your eye and push into top lash roots. If your dye isn’t mixing into the developer well, mix harder. It doesn’t dissolve into the dye on its own, you’ll have to smush it and mix it a lot to mix properly, it generally takes a couple minutes. This dye will stain your countertops and washcloths so use caution to protect your workspace and only use washcloths you don’t mind being stained. I recommend keeping q-tips on hand to wipe away excess dye, but take care to not place them into your counter or sink if they have dye on them. I strongly recommend applying this before showering. Use a washcloth to carefully wipe away all the excess dye wiping out and away from the eye, then you can rinse really well in the shower. I’ve not noticed any problems with the longevity of the dye doing this, and it’s much easier to fully rinse everything away from the eyes. All in all, I personally love this product. It can be a bit frustrating to dial in what to do with it, though, and can take a few uses before you really figure it out. For me, it was worth figuring out so that my naturally blonde lashes are dark and I don’t have to use mascara ever again, no more makeup running down my face or flaking off, and I only spend about 30 minutes every couple months to achieve this. I just use an eyelash curler and it looks like I’m more put together for weeks, so the trade off for me is totally worth it.

This is my go-to brand for tinting my eyebrows and lashes. It’s easy peasy—just mix a couple drops of the developer with the color cream and apply. I have some gray hairs in my eyebrows and this covers them completely. I’ve tried other products, but I keep coming back to this one because the color lasts the longest for me. Just be careful when applying it because it can stain the skin if you get it outside the area you’re tinting or leave it sitting on your skin. Overall, I love it and will continue buying it.

Ok so I was nervous at first but honestly this product is amazing. I do recommend putting Vaseline around the eyes otherwise it will stain your skin. Just be careful not to get it in your eyes and you’re good. My eyes are sensitive and I had no issues with the product. My lashes are very light and this made them DARK. I am in love lol I don’t really need mascara unless I just want a more dramatic look.

After following the directions, my pale, redhead eyelashes had little color. I repeated the process, but it made no difference. It did not hurt my eyes or sting. It was messy but did not stain my skin, the smudges washed off easily. It worked very well on eyebrows. I thought it would look more like I had mascara on, but it does not, at all.

This original formula works the best. I have found that you need to mix the color and developer extensively, then let it sit before applying for more control. Don't worry about "10 drops", just focus on the consistency. I also use my own stiffer mascara wand as the type supplied are too soft to be useful. On natural light blonde hair (with invisible eyelashes and eyebrows) black brown is perfect. It does not stain your skin and lasts longer than anything else I have used. I prefer the original (this product) to the new formula. The gel is very hard to apply correctly and stains your skin, so you have to get it just right or the results are noticeably bad. It also transfers onto your pillow case. As you finally get it off of your skin, it wears off of your eyebrows just as quickly.

This stuff is horrible. It BURNS your eyes like you wouldn't believe, it stains everything, including the counter, the skin around your eyes, and your fingertips, and to top it all off, the formula barely adheres to the eyelashes so you have to deal with a huge mess with barely tinted eyelashes in the end. I will never buy this product again.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I was pretty impressed with the lash dye. I naturally have blonde eyelashes and they hardly appear in photos unless covered in black mascara. I’m hoping that this will replace my need for mascara most days. The paste did not mix well together, but it was still effective. I was a little messy when trying to get the top of my lashes and got some on the skin, but that should wash off over the next day or two. There was slight discomfort in the eye when removing with a wet cotton pad, but quickly flushing they eye made the sting go away. Will try to update on how long it lasts!

I have been using this product for years to dye my eyelashes. It’s very easy to use and will last up to about 6 weeks depending on whether you use harsh soaps or products to clean your face. They have gone through a rebranding or packaging, but it’s still the same great dye. I use the black. My lashes are very long, but they are blonde so the dye makes a big difference for me. I first started dying them when my eyes watered so bad from allergies that I couldn’t wear mascara. That was about 20 years ago and been doing it ever since. There are some that are just for brows so make sure when ordering that you choose correctly if you wish to color your lashes. 😊

Non irritating, easy to apply and lasts for several weeks. I used to use Godfrey but I prefer 1000 hour.

I bought the dark brown, the paste was hard & didn’t dissolve in the developer. I think it was old stock but by the time I used it, I was past the 30 day return time. I would prefer something that was usable right out of the tube. This did nothing…I don’t know how they even thought it would dye dark brown because it was caramel colour, I don’t recommend.

I tried 3 times and i dont see difference. I have long lashes but.. not dark so i wanted to try this product.

I have used various eyelash tints and used this before but the cream and the developer must be old as they would not mix.
