Quality product - very pleased
This has a quality feel to it, works well and looks good. The swing arm feature is really ahndy - we lacked this on the previous fitment. Fairly easy to install - no need for a professional - but it requires a special spanner set to do so, commonly sold by plumbers merchants. Prompt delivery.

Great tap at a keen price.
Exactly what I needed to replace our forever dripping unknown brand taps (which as it turned out looked suspiciously like this item). I needed to change the waste too as our old tap was a lever waste type. Note THIS TAP COMES WITH A POP UP WASTE (yes I did buy another one). Confusing instructions, Don't see how you can mount the tap then attach the tails as the flats for a spanner are right at the end of the tails, however if you add the tails first then attaching the tap is not simple as the tails get in the way of the C washer. Be prepared for some fiddling around and cursing! All round a quality item at a great price. I'd looked in the normal shops and at this price was disappointed with the quality, wobbly outlet pipes, not smooth rotation etc. these are fine.

Excellent tap, with room to fill a 1 litre kettle
Excellent casting and nice piece of equipment. Matches one we'd had for some years in another basin. Works beautifully with a swivel spout and flexible temperature control, much better than those single lever versions. Plenty of room for a 1 litre kettle to fit under the spout. It's true it does dribble for a second or two after turning off, but that's a result of the design rather than a leak, and hardly a problem for us. It's actually easy to install as long as you have a box-spanner to fit the screw, and an adjustable wrench, but I marked down the installation because the fitting instructions are not clear, and if you do things in the given order, you may have a problem. It's not clear that you should screw the threaded bolt into the base of the tap first of all (although it is pictured). Then, before screwing the braided tails into the tap, feed them up through the basin hole. (If you do as the instructions say, and screw them into the tap first, you may not be able to feed the tails down through the basin hole, and have to unscrew them again). The listing doesn't mention the pop-up waste which came with it. I didn't use it, as I'd already fitted a good one, and would recommend looking at the other reviews in this respect.

Nice to see quality brand on Amazon
I needed this in a hurry because the non branded unit that I had previously wasn't doing it for me and I was so pleased when Amazon had this on their next day delivery. There's no much more Ican say with quality brands like this even though it's their essential range with quality parts and full instructions on their websites and in the box.

Great flow-rate, looks good
Having previously bought a Grohe mixer tap which gave a very slow flow-rate I was very cautious about buying a replacement. With this Bristan mixer tap there were no issues. The previous tap had very thin flexible pipes with 3/8 inch fittings - that was the problem. This Bristan has fatter pipes with a 1/2 inch fitting - much better. If you're fitting the tap in an upstairs sink and the system relies on gravity fed water then watch out. This tap need 0.2 Bar water pressure minimum. This equates to a height between the the cold water tank to the tap outlet of at least 2 metres. Whilst our tank base was only 1.6 metres above the tap, I believe that the depth of the water in the tank can be added to this. This, for us, makes it just over 2 metres. Flow rate is great, the only issue was that the tap dribbles a bit when turned off. We'll live with that! Update March 24: One issue with the tap was that both hot and cold tap handles worked loose over time. Retightening the screws worked for a while, but they worked loose again. I found an answer by adding an additional stainless steel M4 washer and M4 spring washer to each tap. Using the existing M4 washer I made up a spring washer sandwich for each tap and refitted the tap handles. After several months there have been no handles working loose! Perhaps Bristan could adopt this method?

ok, but dribbles after turning off
This tap was installed by a plumber, and so I can't comment on ease of installation. Looks OK, and works ok, except that it always dribbles for about 3 seconds after turning it off - both for hot and cold tap. Don't know if that counts as 'faulty' and don't want to call the plumber back to remove it so I can return it, so I'm accepting that's the way it is. I can live with it, but a bit of a dissappointment.

Happy
Really happy with these taps. Well made and fitted easily by a friend who had the right tools. There is a slight overrun when the tap is turned off, which was explained to me as the air displacing the water in the tap nozzle, makes sense when you think about it.

Nice looking two
This is a nice looking, quarter turn tap from a reputable manufacturer that works just as you would expect it to. We already have one the same on another sink that we've had for four years and that still looks as good as this new one. Hopefully this too will have a long life.
