The Monsters & Creatures Compendium (Dungeons & Dragons): A Young Adventurer's Guide

My 8yo carries this book all around the house. He uses it as a reference for his drawings. He can read some of it, but not all of it. He’s had it a year now, and he still loves it. It’s cool to see him be able to read more and more of it as he grows and becomes a stronger reader. It’s a beautiful book- glossy pages, beautiful, detailed artwork. It’s full of information. It’s even just the right size- big enough to be able to appreciate the details in the drawings, but not so large that it’s inconvenient to carry around.

Perfect book for my daughter. Cant wait for more to come out. Excited to see her get interested in D&D through this easy to read book.

My students needed a resource for a mythical creature research paper. This was their perfect book! Info is presented in clear, easy to understand chunks of data with plenty of illustrations.

This book for young adventurers contains a wide variety of creatures. What to expect in the book… the main thing you will find is a creature, a picture of said creature, a small paragraph or two talking about it. A brief description of what it’s lair might be like, a size comparison to humanoids, and a few do’s and donts regarding the creature. This book for kids is fairly thick at about 245 pages. What you might encounter in the book… first off you have your classics like displacer beasts, beholders, lich. There’s a wide section dedicated to the many types of dragons, giants, lycanthropes, vampires. And many more generic creatures. Overall I think it’s a very good book and I can’t stress this enough it’s for kids. Not that anyone can’t enjoy it. I picked it up to add to my wide collection of d&d memorabilia. But all descriptions are brief and simple for a new beginner to understand. So pick one up to help start someone on the path to adventure and fantasy.

I like this book it's very interesting. Had a lot of good information in it. If you're interested in knowing about creatures in the dungeons & dragons world it's a good book to get.

My 5th grade child loves to read and browse through this book with their classmates.

My son still passes through this from time to time, a year after finishing it. So I'd say it's definitely holding up alright as a good purchase.

This is an amazing books to learn more about the various and diverse monsters and creatures in the DnD universe. There is a lot of information in it and pictures, which make this a great gift for any DnD enthousiast.

It's a hardcover so I would expect nothing less. The print quality is great and I love the illustrations. Great buy.
