If you would like to know the detail, see below, but for the TLDR “Too Long Didn’t Read”: I have found this heater to be just right for me and is proving to be very economical. The heat is immediate, the unit doesn’t make any noise, no odours and I quite like the warm orange glow. It is lightweight, stable, well-constructed and as heavy as it needs to be so it is still portable. The height is easily adjusted by using a screw wheel on the back. No big deal. Also, I had a couple of questions (not problems) and the customer service response by phone was excellent. Don’t move the unit when it is on though (it says quite clearly you shouldn’t for safety), as it will activate the tilt function, which is what it is supposed to do, and shut the unit down.Detail:My gas fire failed and I had to use a thermostatically controlled, electric oil filled radiator to heat the living room which was turning out to be very expensive. After installing this IR unit and monitoring the Kw/H used, it is turning out to be much more economical and I estimate that I am using approximately 30% less energy than the radiator, so I am quite pleased. I also like the “direct heat“aspect and we actually perceive it as much more cosy. You have to be aware that it is direct heat, it doesn’t heat the air and is not an “enveloping” heat, but the room temperature will warm up eventually. It is the direct infrared heat that is heating YOU and all the objects in the room. Positioned at the end of our living room which is 21ft long and about 14ft away from our normal sitting position (room is ~ 190 sq./ft., 21 sq./M in area), I have found that I only need it on level 1 or 2 continually, but normally just on 1. First thing in the morning it is on 4 for a short while. My partner, she likes it a lot warmer than I do, likes it too and doesn’t feel cold. Your mileage may vary, as they say, but this suits us.

Already have IR wall panels but wanted something moveable to warn cool corners or heat a room when the wall panels were off. This certainly chucks out heat and is economical we have it on Auto on setting 12, the highest setting is 30. It being summer or so we are told most of the time it's running on our solar panels or batteries so can't give an idea of how much mains electricity it uses but judging by our solar and battery meters not much.For someone wanting instant heat at low cost buy one of these.

Bought this heater to supplement our kitchen/diner heating,.very easy to put together, very light weight but sturdy and with the safety shut off no worries about it getting knocked over by accident.Heats up instantly with the remote control..When not in use stores very easily

I suffer from chronic hydration. I wake up twice in the night to drink a litre of water. This product promised not to dry the air and works. My room is warm but not dry. When I have forgotten to wake up and drink water, I can still recover in the morning (previously I would be ill for a day whilst I rehydrated).The only reason this is 4 star and not 5 star is that you must have the remote control to use the automatic function. This can be very frustrating if you misplace the very small remote control. The manufacturer should consider adding controls to the product as a backup.

Very nice heater. The build quality is really good and the remote works very well. Heads up: DO NOT put it next to TV or it will melt it. I had to learn this the hard way :/

My dad recommended it after watching a consumer program rave about it. Living in the UK, where they haven’t really updated the insulation of their houses since the Victorian times, I needed something where I could sit in a heat bubble. Enter: this goddess. 4 settings, choose one, instant heat, sit and bask in its toastiness. Don’t forget to turn sides.

I bought this in place of an old oil-filled electric heater, hoping to reduce my electricity bill. I am not sure that it does, but I am very happy with this heater. It is relatively unobtrusive, and very easy to control. The heat is very pleasant, and does not seem to dry the air.

Like all dislike nothing. Heats up very quickly and ideal for localised personal heating. Very cheap to run. 15p an hour!!
