Absolutely brilliant! I am very very happy with this purchase/product. My 9 year old (science mad) daughter absolutely loves her Happy Atoms set. 5*

I purchased this set for my 9 year old home schooled daughter. My daughter enjoys experimenting and discovering new molecules and compounds. We will be using this set alongside Mel Science to help visualise the processes undertaken during chemical reactions. The app is interactive and easy to use.

Usually Thames & Kosmos provide good educational science kits and we have had no issues before.Sadly the digital app part of this atoms kit just doesn’t work properly for us.It cannot seem to identify it’s own molecules correctly. Therefore no choice but to return it for a refund.

Good Product and Good Service

We have used this set once. The pieces themselves are wonderful however it’s not engaging either my 10 or 7 year old. I bought it for the 10 year old but it’s probably turned her right off the subject. Perhaps they need prior knowledge of the atoms. The app itself is extremely boring. The potential for this product is limitless if they develop the app. First of all it should have a sound option whereby you can hear the professor talk as oppose to having to read the information. Secondly the information given when you press on the various links is uninteresting and some I do not even understand. This company should partner with someone like Bill Nye who can transmit this information in an interesting way. It should also show real life experiments for all atoms and a short video on how the gases are found or extracted. It can be combined with the details of the atoms in order it engages children. Fundamentals for this product to make this a huge market hit is there but the app is completely unengaging. I think they have probably corrected the issue on the app where it doesn’t read the atoms sometimes when scanned but have over corrected whereas now it reads the bonded atoms when an arm is not connected. Please take this feedback on board and develop. It could be a hit!
