J&D's Bacon Salt, Original, 2.6 Ounce, Bacon-Flavored Seasoning Salt, Vegan, Vegetarian, Kosher

I had bacon salt one time at Denny's during bacon fest several years ago and have been searching for bacon salt since. I finally decided to try my search again on Amazon and found this. Just had to have it. My family thought I was weird till they tried it. Now it's a hit in my house. Definitely recommend this, taste great on pork tenderloin, fries, baked potatoes, eggs and hamburger.

BACONGreat maple-y, mesquite-y taste to add a pop to your food without adding actual pig flesh to everything. I had tried some a few years back durring a Dennys promotion and, reading the ingredients discovering it was not only kosher/halal but vegan, I fell in love. I forgot about it for a few years until by either fate or divine force it popped back into my head and on a whim I bought some. I havent looked back since.It IS salt, so a little bit goes quite a ways, so unless you are putting buckets of this on everything and giving yourself savory hypertension a small container will last you a while.

Bought this to put on popcorn, my grandson and I love bacon and love popcorn. He was a bit disappointed, I rather liked the flavor. However...this did not have a heavy salt flavor to it. It is a very fine powder...a little does go a long way. This did give popcorn a nice hickory flavor, though the true bacon flavor was heavily masked to the hickory. For what it is worth, I'd buy it again, has some good uses for cooking, other foods, especially considering low sodium and vegetarian, give foods a nice hickory smoked flavor with an undertone of bacon.

Amazing I put it on everything

I did like the flavor of this product and frequently used it on my eggs instead of salt and pepper. It is, however, not humidity friendly. In Florida, many of our spices get a bit "sticky and clumpy" but most can be loosened by a knife or ice pick and this can be done over the space of many years and most can be used "forever". This item hardened and clumped very quickly and got to the point that I couldn't loosen it anymore but couldn't figure out how to get it out of the bottle so I could use a hammer on it. It was THAT hard and no other spice I have ever had has done this. I am thinking about ordering it again, as I did like the flavor, and keeping it in a zip lock bag so that if I need to take a "hammer or something similar" to it, it will be much easier. I will transfer it the minute I receive it and I will add "pinches" instead of being able to shake. Perhaps I can transfer small amounts back to the bottle to shake it as I need it but it will not remain in the same bottle. Just impossible to break loose - even a tiny piece. :-( This is just an FYI for those of you that live in humid areas. Transfer it immediately. It is not like any other spice you have ever had!

Like: bacon flavor goes great with salad or eggs, especially omelette.Dislike: taste is subtle, so you might need more than just a couple to dashes. Also very salty, so go light with food that’s already salty.Overall: great for when you want bacon flavor, but don’t expect it to replace actually having bacon.

You really can’t find bacon salt in the stores where we live, and my hubby ran out and likes to salt his tomatoes as a snack! He’s already enjoying the taste!

It does not have a bacon flavor at all. It tastes more like Liquid Smoke. It's not returnable either.
