Hennaplus Colour Powder Super Red 55

Great chemical free way to colour greying hair and add shine. Use every few months.

I was looking for an alternative to Daniel Field. This stuff didn't even touch my dark blonde hair colour after two hours wearing it after following instructions to the letter. It also left my hair dry which is really odd for henna. I would seriously avoid this in future.

Bought this brand as my usual had disappeared from Amazon... Powder was not as fine as I am used to and the colour when mixing didn't seem to be quite right either- persevered but result was very disappointing - mixture was difficult to apply (very bitty and lumpy - kept falling off!) and although I left it on for longer than the 'necessary' time the colour did not take and I ended up re doing my hair using a different brand a week later. In short, messy and not worth the effort

Very good product. My hair is light brown, so it covers temporarily my white hair only.

I mixed this with the brown colour cream to cover grey and get a more true brown without redness. The colour result was good, and not as dark as i would get if i used the 'brown' colour cream alone and not a red as if i used the colour powder alone. It did not cover the grey as well as the colour cream does, but was more of a blended result. I also found my hair to be very dry after using this product, that no amount of conditioner seemed to resolve. I have found this with other henna products a well. It is a very finely ground powder, and not too much mess once you get used to it.

I would have given this five stars if it had made a significant difference to the colour of my hair. Otherwise this henna powder is nice and fine, it mixes up very smoothly and goes on a treat. I would have expected 'Super Red' to actually be rather a strong red but as a long time user of henna powders this made little or no difference to my hair colour. It has the usual instructions for mixing and they say to apply soon after mixing (ie when cooled enough). There is a different brand which I have discovered recently which is hard to get hold of which recommends leaving the mix for an hour to mature before applying to your hair. This brand did make a good change in the colour of my hair. It also suggests adding plain yogurt to that brand which I think affects the acidity. I would sum this up by saying that Hennaplus Colour Powder Super Red mixes smoothly, is easy to apply but fairly ineffective colourwise.

Didn't work... Very messy and made my hair dull and copper looking :( not getting this again!!
