Nightfox XB5 Infrared Torch | 5W 940nm Covert Wavelength | IR Illuminator for Night Vision Devices

This item works great and the ability to set intensity is a real nice feature so as not over illuminate objects. The only fault is the item weight which is quite heavy (due to the excellent build quality) which you should consider if you want to mount it.

This iluminator performs very well. For shooting rats, with an ATN scope, I only need it on the minimum setting. The little greem led on the back is also excellent to show it's on.

The media could not be loaded.  first thing first ...helmet mounted night fox cape ..works very well ..but can be a little wearing on your neck.i got helmet mount ,torch mount,(to go on the helmet ) and the XB5 IR all in one order and in one box very good amazon .. you will need a 18650 battery and charger (argos as the batterys charger from ebay) .back you the field for a look around and to see how good the Xb5 IR is .... from a spot light to flood light ..was just amazing (easy for me as i can use both hands to use it (helmet mounted nightfox cape ) then come the dimmer ,i truned off the capes ir and just use the XB5 IR sopt light 80 meters but flood light ..was just light day light but in the dark..just mind blowing to me, 10 meter to the gate 20,30 40 50..and so on light up the trees .i did have my right hand in the air to flood the area what was good ..best bits ....me walking around a field using the xb5 ir (like a torch ) just great much more confident ,set the night fox cape on IR1 ,use the XB5 IR and walked home ,in one way forgot i was wearing the nightfox cape ,just walked ..much safer .. (it about 4 week ,i got the nightfox cape practice walking around )..so summer is on it way so lots of late night ..ha see you all in the dark . RJB

I would not use these with an air rifle let alone a centre fire. Can't see anything with these IR's past 50m.
