Battery Base for Echo 3 & Echo Plus 2 Make Them Portable Not Include The Speaker or Charge Cord (Upgrade Version)

Great quality, worth the money, lasts least 7 hours during a power outage and easy to use.

Our first one ran for about 2 years and 4 months then suddenly died (battery failure). Batteries could not be replaced because of special circuitry built into the battery pack. No replacement packs are available.I ordered another one and set it up. Started to charge the battery then it died completely. I then ordered another one which I received and it is working just fine. Returned the bad one to Amazon for a replacement (to keep as a spare) but was notified that they were no longer available and may never be again.When using it I get around 6 hours of music on my Echo. It works quite well. If this one ever dies I will have to go without it as there are no other battery bases compatible with the Echo 3 listed on Amazon.

I’ve been through multiple iterations of different battery bases for my different generations of Alexa, and this one is by far my favorite. Works reliably, charges easily, and lasts long. Just took it to an outdoor party where it worked on high settings for over 4 hours. I’ve also had it for months and it has lasted through the beat-up of my children dragging it around the house for dance parties :)

I bought two of these. They worked flawlessly for 35 months and then poof! The batteries in both suddenly died. I bought two more, as during the 35 month period they were great.

The battery base charged fully and is still holding a full charge as of this review. I tried it by unplugging the cord and the Echo works well and the charger still holds its charge. It ads a new look to the Echo and you can now take it anywhere you want. Definitely worth the money.

First one I bought lasted 2+ years but the second one I bought didn’t last 6 months. Can’t find another seller so guess I have to gamble on the life of the next battery……

I use Alexa all over the place. My wife thinks I am having an affair with her. But there were a few places I couldn't take her. One was in my workshop/shed. I have a workbench where I do some woodworking using hand tools. Before I got kicked out of the garage, I could just plug her up and ask her questions, play music, do math, etc. Out in the shed, nada. The other place is outside. I have a large garden with a round concrete picnic table and benches. I like to eat lunch out there on nice days or lounge in the hammock. I was thinking, man it would be nice if I could have some soothing music.Well, I found the Echo battery base and had one of those Ah HA! moments. I got it and love it. Now I can take Alexa anywhere. Well, almost. She still needs to be within WIFI range. But my shed and my picnic table are. In the shed, I can ask questions and have her do the math, especially the fractions and play upbeat music. Out at the picnic table and the hammock she can play soothing music. The other weekend, I had her playing non-stop for over 4 hours. The base still had two lights so I think it could have gone at least another hour.The only nit pick is the mounting screw. It is fixed in place and you have to spin the echo down to the base. But, if I screwed the echo all the way down, the power chord on the back side wouldn't line up so I had to back it off a half turn. This didn't leave a good solid mount to my liking. But, it hasn't caused any problems, so...One of the things I like is you use the standard Echo power chord in the base to charge it. You can plug and unplug the power chord while Alexa is playing with no interruption.Overall, I highly recommend this battery base if you want your Alexa to go portable.

Fits mt Echo, works great. Keeps a long charge, I bring it out to the pool, it has never lost it's charge.
