Lanterns
Bought a pack of 20 for my son, to celebrate his 13th birthday with 13 lanterns. Thought it would be a fun gesture. He was so chuffed at the idea. Instructions were awful. Translated in to very poor English. I contacted the seller and they did give some instruction via an e mail but I think they do need to put proper instructions and safety advice in with all packs. A still warm night is probably best. They are larger than I expected.I am not sure what makes them Eco as they did have wire? We let some off in our local park at about 9.30pm. We had lots of interested bystanders. The first one managed to land in a tree despite our best efforts to put ourselves in the most open grassed area, away from nearby trees;we were shocked as it was still alight. Luckily it went out, so no fire. We realised that with 3 of us we could hold the sides out and this helps a lot with the launch and getting the air in, as the sides can easily blacken if you don't. This technique helped and we had better launches (Do not let go too soon). We did enjoy the lanterns. However, we got home and the news that night told of a fire caused by a lantern landing on a site with paper outside! I hasten to add it was not one of ours.I think there are calls to ban them and we found lots of articles on-line with just a few clicks, detailing numerous fires. We stll have some, but I must admit I am wary, and not sure if these will make it to the skies!

Slightly disappointed
I ordered these for our wedding (15/9/12) they turned up in plenty of time but sadly the description did not tell us there was some assembly work involved. After a few drinks and in the dark it took a little bit of working out, and then only approx 7 out of 20 took off due to small holes in the lanterns. We knew they were thin to start with and would have to be careful but the holes were already in the lanterns when we took them out of the original packaging they were sent in. I was also very lucky as my dress almost went up in flames due to the fact that when you try to light them they start to drip and almost dripped onto my wedding dress. Overall i wouldn't buy these again and would not recommend to anyone else either although the 7 that did float looked very beautiful it would of looked better if the full 20 had floated away instead of ending up in the lake below us.

Super romantic, easy to use, absolutely to recommend!
Orderered the lanterns for our wedding party. As we know them already from Thailand, we knew how they work - and actually its also self explanatory and really easy to use (even if you can't read the instructions because you're standing in the dark outside ;-) They worked perfectly, every single one flew very high and brought a lot of fun and joy for everyone. We loved it!

eco lanterns
This is the fourth time I have ordered these lanterns and am always pleased. Great fun ,not bad quality and I will continue to use them. Make sure they are fully open and leave the flame block for 45 seconds before you let them go with a little push skyward.

Rubbish
These lanterns are useless rarely managed to get them off the ground, after speending too long assembling. Have used sky lanterns for a long time and theese are the worst ones i have ever used. Verry Disapointed the moment was lost.

Poor quality, tears easily
Tears easy, paper folds seem almost bonded making it impossible to extend without tearing. 1 of 6 successful. Avoid.
