its a miracle!!!!!
Oh my goodness, this is the greatest invention...I have been using it on my 12 month old Labradoodle for a few days. He is not keen on putting it on, but after the first time, does not fuss. He used to pull a lot on his collar, particularly when walking with other dogs, now (and this was instant) he trots by my side. Tail is still wagging. I'm happier, he's calmer and happier. An excellent training aid. It really is magic.Must admit, I didn't watch the dvd until I'd been using it for two days, but turns out I was doing everything it suggested anyway. But I do recommend you watch it, it's very laid back and informal and very short, so you won't get bored.A friend of mine with a golden retriever had tried a halti previously because her dog didn't like it so gave up after one day. Having seen how well my puppy is doing, she has now given it another go (took two days for her pooch to stop rubbing his nose all over the floor and having a bit of a head shake frenzy) and she is now thrilled with her easy to walk dog.I shall continue using this, as suggested by Halti, until I can move back to the collar once my dog is fully comfortable with walking by my side and no longer has the urge to pull. Don't forget that praising good behaviour makes the training process much more fun for the dog and makes them eager to learn....I bought the medium size. It's perfect for my dog but would also fit ( in my opinion) anything from a small collie or spaniel up to a big Labrador or retriever. If you have a dog who pulls on the lead and you are willing to put in a little effort to let your dog get used to the halti, then buy this immediately. It really has changed our whole walking experience...it's fantastic!!!!!

Good but pricey now
Its a good head collar and stops my dog from pulling but I’ve just gone to purchase it again for my other dog and it’s now £5.00 more and charging p&p so not sure if it’s worth it

A good dog head collar must also be comfortable!
My puppy Lab Rtriever is growing up fast and has now become strong on the lead!I decided to research online information of dog head collars. Some opinions stated that these collars are cruel and dismiss them, whilst many more consider them a valuable contribution to improving the control and reduced hard pulling when on the lead.Further, I talked to fellow dog walkers, and they all agreed that the dog head collar is well worth having. So armed this this information I looked online to choose one.Eventually I decided on the Halti Optifit Headcollar. The additional feature of an adjustable head strap seemed the best choice for me as size measurements taken from a supplier may sometimes be questionable.Delivery took 2 weeks due to being out of stock but that’s hardly Amazon’s fault. The head collar is fairly light with strong flat material. Some reviews have commentated that it looks flimsy and has easily been chewed through by even small dogs and puppies.I feel this statement is a tad unfair as it clearly states on the instruction not to leave your dog unattended with the headcollar on to avoid damage by chewing! (see attached image).Imo, the Halti dog collar is well made, and the flat tape design is deliberate so that it fits the dog’s nose more closely with less hindrance to the dog’s line of sight. The adjustable locking padded nose strap offers better fitting around the nose with two fingers slack for mouth movement then locked in position Imo, this lighter and slimmer headcollar makes for a more comfortable fit for your dog. There are many different makes of head collars on the market at present and all have their virtues and faults depending on your point of view. For me, this type offers what I'm looking for and only time will tell if lives up to my expectations. I already have a Halti 2-clip training lead - so every bit helps!

Halti
I wasn't very happy with this item. One of straps very quickly yore even though I had correctly used it and very closely supervised my dog with it. I decided to check the same brand out at Pets at Home and purchased another of that brand which was a much better quality than the one I purchased through Amazon. This left me wondering if the one via Amazon was a copy!

Great collar
Bought it for my dog to prevent him to pulling. He is a strong dog and gets overexcited around the beach. (Who can blame him...) works well, I can control him way more easily and we can cross the road safely

Rubbing our figs nose
This hasty was purchased because our other one was rubbing my dogs nose.It does have padding but my dogs nose still hasn’t healed. In closer inspection the nose part has a stiff band on the inside that makes contact with the dogs nose, so the padding which is there does little to noting apart from look nice.

Wow, fantastic
House training was fairly straight forward and after a couple of months our dog was house clean. we trained him to sit, down and shake hands without a problem. But could we stop him pulling on the lead? No we couldn't. We tried different harnesses with D rings on the front as well as the chest, different collars etc, nothing changed, he still pulled so much, I dreaded taking him out. Then my daughter heard from a colleague that his father was having trouble with his pulling dog, as he had Parkinsons and couldn't hold him in check anymore. The answer? the Halti optifit head collar. On this recommendation I thought this worth a try, hoping it may help me. Well I am astounded in the difference. it has made. My dog now walks next to me, from the first time I took him for a walk. No pulling at all, incredible. When it first arrived I put it on my dog and distracted him with some cheese, and only left it on for a minute or so. I did this a few times that day. then the next day put it on him and took him out, the excitement (his, not mine!) on going out distracted him, and there he was walking beside me. I couldn't believe the pulling had stopped, and am still amazed the pulling has stopped. I did first order the head collar without the optifit, but found that as my dog has a hairy face, it may have been irritable for him and he kept pawing it. But the optifit version, just a few pounds more, was more suitable for my dog, as you can adjust under his jaw for a comfortable fit. Would absolutely recommend the Optifit Head Collar.

Best Halti Headcollar we found!
These Halti Headcollars actually really DO help prevent pulling, but the dogs really fight wearing them at first. We have a 9 month old lab who can already easily pull either of us over, or pull the leash right out of our hands, if she decides to take off. We cannot walk her without one of these collars. However, this is the 3rd headcollar we’ve had to try in an effort to get the right features. We originally purchased a different Halti Headcollar at the pet store that was designed so that the loop around the snout would release when the dog wasn’t pulling. Molly was quick to capitalize on that feature and hook her paw into the slack to pull the thing right into her mouth. After catching her in several successful attempts to chew through it, she finally caught me distracted and ruined it in a matter of minutes. So our daughter gave us an extra headcollar she had in another brand that was really very no frills. It was snug in the snout all the time, with no padding, so harder for her to get off - but after a walk she’d have a dent across her nose 😩 She hated it more than the first one and was constantly trying to get it off. Walks are no fun when the dog repeatedly throws herself to the ground to try to pry the thing off. This (3rd) new Halti Headcollar is the best of both worlds - it features a padded snout loop that is adjustable to fit snugly, but it does not have the release feature for when the dog stops pulling. It stays snug all the time. It also has the safety feature the first one had of a separate hook that clips to the collar so that if the dog escapes the head collar, the leash is still attached to her normal collar. Molly doesn’t seem to mind this one as much - I’m sure it’s more comfortable - so walks are much more enjoyable for all of us! Highly recommend Halti - and especially this particular model.

Excelente producto!

It works as advertised
You need to train your dog to feel comfortable wearing this, before you can actually start to train your dog with it. I love how it has adjustable nose and head bands, so you can ensure a secure and confidante fit for your dog!It allows your dog to eat and drink while wearing it (though you can't really feed big items), so you don't need to worry about having to take it off or your dog going without, should they need to wear it for a long time.
