Excellent product
I am picky about how my bacon is cooked and this thing made it perfectly! A little crispy and not overdone or underdone. It is easy to liad the bacon slices. All the bacon grease is collected and can be used for cooking other items. The soft plastic lid sits on top and blocks any splatter. I see some others don't like the soft lid but it does it's job just fine. The bacon is not directly exposed to plastic in this setup. The ceramic is thick and of good quality. The little ring that holds the bacon strips is ceramic also and is quite sturdy. I would highly recommend this product.

Pleased
I chose this because it was ceramic and not plastic. I was tired of the stove mess from cooking on the stove top. I was also tired of using aluminum foil when cooking in the oven. I also tried cooking bacon in between two silicone Swiss Roll cake mats on top of a cookie sheet, which made the bacon strips nice and flat, but the mat flexibility made it difficult to pour off the grease. Cleaning the cake mats was also an undesirable and messy chore. Initially, the challenge I had with the Ceramic Bacon Cooker was: The bacon strip bottoms stuck together, which made them difficult to remove. This was resolved when my vegetarian mother-in-law suggested separating them part-way in the cooking. In my microwave I need to cook the bacon for 10 minutes. Now I cook it for 5 minutes, remove the Cooker from the microwave, use tongs to lift the wheel, run an implement through the bacon strips, put them back in, then put the Cooker back in the microwave for 5 more minutes. Problem solved! Easy to clean. I read through the reviews and got a few more ideas for better use.

Not Bad
This item is well made and will last a long time. It works well. The reason it gets 4 stars because its a big item. It will need its own distinct storage space. In addition it gets hot, as expected, but perhaps a small pan-type of handle might be helpful.

Great product!
Pretty good bacon out of it. Used it a few times now. I usually do 4 slices at 5 minutes. No smokey kitchen anymore! I enjoy that no leaking of plastics into the bacon since it's made with ceramic.

Cracked
We cook bacon almost every morning. We have had this only 9 days and heard a loud pop it has two cracks on each side leaking bacon grease everywhere. Very disappointed considering we didn't even make it through half a pound of bacon before it's tragic end.

NOT splatter-free!
I was hoping I'd found the answer to cooking bacon effectively and eliminating the greasy mess. Several reviewers indicate that there is no mess. The videos I watched touted no mess. I wish I knew their secret, because on it's own . . . this is NOT splatter-proof. At all. When finished cooking three batches of bacon (one package), my microwave was completely coated, roof included, with a film of bacon grease. All the paper towels I "saved" by using this product, I used at the end to clean up the mess. The product itself worked fine. It is a sturdy unit and it cleans up with no problem. Cooking times takes a minute to figure out because every microwave and every personal preference is different. The last batch I cooked for 10 minutes and it was the best out of my three attempts. The product is decent, but the vent holes definitely do NOT provide splatter-free cooking as advertised, and you will likely have a messy microwave to contend with when you're done. Deal-breaker for me. I'm returning mine and would not recommend to others.

Not easy to use
It sounds like it is going to blow up in the microwave. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I love it so much that I bought a spare.
I bought my first bacon cooker from a shopping channel. It was on sale and free shipping. We loved it so much I looked on Amazon and bought another one. We never want to cook bacon any other way. I cook 6 pieces of regular sliced bacon for 8 minutes. I remove the bacon, laying it flat on a plate with paper towels and place another paper towel over it. Microwave for another minute. I then blot and remaining grease. I have very crispy, completely lean bacon. Sounds like a lot to get perfect no greasy bacon, but it’s really not. No mess in microwave. I empty the grease into my grease pot and the cooker goes in the dishwasher. Highly recommended.

Initially tried with preferred thick-sliced bacon, and had a lot of difficulty getting it cooked. Switching to regular-sliced bacon solved that problem. The silicone lid did not warp, but popping and sputtering bacon sometimes moved the lid enough to expose the bacon. Using an inverted ceramic saucer solved that problem, as suggested by another reviewer (thank you!), and is my current practice. Overall, a great little product: no plastic and easy cleanup. Use potholders!
