A Cable That Symbolizes Everything Wrong and Right About Progress
You ever notice how technology keeps moving forward but somehow we still need to keep one foot in the past? That's this cable, folks. It's like a mullet for your electronics - business in the front, party in the back. Or is it the other way around? Who the hell knows anymore. So here I am, staring at this one-foot braided cord, and I'm thinking: "We invented USB-C to unify everything, to END the madness of seventeen different cables for seventeen different devices. But no - NO - some genius had to build a bridge back to the old country." It's like building a Tesla with a tape deck. The cable works. Let me be clear - it WORKS. Sixteen watts of charging power, 480 megabits per second of data transfer. You know what that means? Neither do I. But apparently it's enough to keep your ancient Kindle alive while your fancy new laptop sits there with its smug USB-C port judging your life choices. Does it hurt my brain? Yeah. But so does traffic, television, and the fact that we still measure things in feet and inches. At least this cable does its job without complaining.

Fire TV Stick Power for a monitor port
I bought a new Amazon Fire Tv stick to use with a portable monitor screen. The ports are limited and so you have to get creative. I have a headphone port, two USB Cs, and one HDMI. One of the USB Cs is for powering the monitor so really it is just a single option there. So I needed something to charge the fire tv stick without bulky cords or anything else weighing it down. This cord is the perfect fit to put into my usb micro on the fire stick and the usb C in the monitor. Works great!

Works with truSDX.
I've been using this to connect my truSDX radio to my Android phone for digital modes. It feels like a high quality cable and the data transfer speeds are far beyond what I would need. Its fairly short and lightweight which helps keep my setup small and lightweight. I've been using it mostly with FT8CN for FT8 operation and it has been performing flawlessly. I would highly recommend for a small QRP setup.
