Works well, but is visable to the naked eye
Used this product to illuminate an outdoor PTZ camera. It's small, lightweight, and compact. It's NOT invisible at night to the naked eye, as the LED's on the device do have a red glow to them. The resultant IR light is good. I found that I can illuminate a larger area by bouncing the IR light off of an exterior wall and onto the surrounding area. This allows me to make the area close to the building highly visible, while giving sufficient illumination to the surrounding area. By facing the sensor toward the wall, the red glow immigrating from the LED's was not visible from street.I purchased the 30 ft cord, because the sensor was a distance from an electrical outlet. There was a small piece of heat shrink tubing included (with no instructions). I used this and a heat gun to help make the connection between the device and the extension a bit more water resistant. When using the extension, there are actually two connections, so I used an additional piece of heat shrink that I had laying around the house for the other connection. The hardware to install the device was included and there is an adjustable gimble that allows you to pretty-much adjust the angle any way you want. The devices works great and is inexpensive. Hopefully it will hold-up in the long run.

Needed additional IR light for my security cameras
July 2026 - I have been using this product for 1 year now and I am very happy with it. This light augmented a dark area of my security cameras. It adds highlight and detail to my nighttime images. This works perfectly to add additional IR to your night vision security cameras. This was easy to install. It easily mounts almost anywhere. Mine is mounted outside, uncovered, and has performed well in all weather conditions. Depending on your mounting location, it covers quite a large area of my back yard. Overall, this light works very well and I would purchase it again.

PsychosocialCCTV :) I have lots of these in most brands available. WISH THEY THREW THE IR FURTHER!
I wish i could give 3.5 stars.Sorry, no pics. I have so many IRs it would be impossible to determine which one is doing what.OK so I have a LOT of Cameras!!! Last count was TWO 32 camera CCTV setups, an 8 camera setup, and a 12 camera setup. (Not including individuals) I have LOTS of IR illuminators as well.So build quality gets a strong 3. NOT THAT IMPRESSED. Not that they aren't rugged, it's just that most of the time I have to either add angled bases (that pivot) or I have to extend the illuminators to their absolute limit in one particular direction. They insinuate that they are easily adjusted in any direction, but trust me here, that is NOT the case. In reality the illuminators are VERY difficult to angle (once past minor angles) due to the slip channel design. That makes me nervous. I wish I could just mount them like you see on the pics, and point them straight, or down a little, or up a little, but real world isn't as easy. Because of this I get worried that they will break first time some large bird perches on them, and owning a berry farm, we get LOTS of birds!!! In their "normal" angles, they would get a 5 for build quality, but rarely do I ever get off that lucky that I can use straight on lighting.Light output. OK lets get the huge elephant out of the room. They do NOT light as far as they say. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!! But having used all the major brands of IR Illuminators, I can say NONE of them do. I'm getting a decent lighting coverage at 60-75 feet away. Thats a REALLY GOOD wide path of light Id estimate at around 60 feet wide. Any further than that and it gets a LOT weaker with every extra foot. Yes they work, and I order these because they are the brightest on amazon, but I'm still not impressed. WE NEED MORE LIGHT OUTPUT!!! Id gladly pay twice the price I paid for this light if they would make an illuminator with 3 times the light output, with an emphasis on LONG THROW pattern. I don't need wider; I need further away.So with these 2 huge negatives, why the 4-star review? Because at the current moment these are as good as I have been able to find. AGAIN, I'm not really impressed. Kinda an "I guess that will have to do... just disappointing". Theres another one out there that makes an IR that comes in a big square box with larger LEDS, and it does a LOT better on long throw IR, but its not as good at wide coverage.. This brand does really well with wide areas relatively close to the camera.Yes, they're water resistant. 5 stars there.Cord is TOO SMALL!!! If you can go through a wall, you're OK. One of mine (exact same camera actually, bought 3 years ago) is mounted on the outside of my vintage RV. No worries with the cord on that one, but one of these I had to wire completely outside by drop-cord, and that makes me VERY nervous. I don't expect that camera's cord to last more than a couple years at best. The price is just OK, A bit overpriced, and I'd much rather pay say... 500 to buy one REAL IR illuminator (something like the sports arenas have) than 8-12 of these, but at the current time these are all I can find. I like my property heavily lit up on monitors, and thieves spotted quickly.Meh... They kinda do the job.

Small and powerful.
They’re smaller than I expected but were easy to install and throw a lot of light. The two pictures of the car’s is one unit on the peak of the garage and the third picture is a pad on the side of the garage with the second light mounted under the eave. These are screen shots from my security cameras.

bright infraed light draws 25 watts
these supplemental infrared lights will add more visibility to many cctv cameras that use 850nm wavelength night vision.this one model DI20 uses 25 watts of power with the included 12 volt 2 amp wall adapter. I use this with my reolink cameras 810A 410 e1 and duo2 and they all greatly improve night vision visibility. there is also less motion blur for fast moving objects like vehicles and that improves the ai smart detection accuracy.you might have a bright spot or overexposure with closer objects depending on what cameras your using this light with. the infrared beam width is 90 degree coverage so you may want or need at least two to not have any shadows on one side. remember this is a light source after all and with light there are shadows.Ive been using three of these for over a year outdoors in summer heat and freezing winters and never had any problems so far. its made from a cast aluminum housing and power coated white. its compact size and much smaller and looks better compared to other designs with a bigger housing. it does get warm all around but that is normal for 20 watts of leds.the included mount is not very good as the threads on the wing nut to tighten the ball joint is not very good and always cross thread and bind. the good thing is on the backside of the light housing the internal threads are female 1/4-20 unf a common size many outdoor camera mounts and can be replaced.

Great illuminator with some concerns
Durability is lacking, but support is great. The illuminator is incredibly bright, but the photocell is poorly weather sealed. If that one aspect could be fixed, this item would be 100%.

Well designed, buy this one
Electrical design:This illuminator uses a switching, buck converter power supply. This is good because it’s much more efficient than a linear power supply, generates less heat, and accepts a wider range of input voltages. From my testing power consumption is stable from 12 to 24 volts, dropping to half power at 10 volts, and dropping out completely around 9 volts. The DC power connector is a 2.1x5.5mm center positive barrel jack. This is good because it’s a very common connector for 12V DC equipment. The light sensor on the back operates instantly when covered. I didn’t test for hysteresis.Construction:The LED emitters and power supply are all on a single, custom PCB. This is good because it makes for a more compact product and should make thermal bonding to the chassis simpler. The chassis is custom, die cast and power coated aluminum. It looks to me as though it was assembled from the front and the front window was glued in place. No screws are visible and I doubt there’s a nondestructive way to open it. The front window is shiny and appears black due to the IR pass filter.Accessories:The illuminator has a female 1/4”-20 thread tapped on the back. The included ball mount is cast from a non-ferrous metal and powder coated. I like the mount, it’s easy to install, sturdy enough, and ought to hold up to the elements better than plastic. Screws, drywall anchors, a drill template, and a stub of adhesive heat shrink tubing are includedOptics:The illuminator is easily visible at 100 feet if you’re looking for it but easily overlooked if you aren’t. On my phone camera it’s about as bright as a 1 watt 2700k LED bulb, to my eye it’s much dimmer. The beam spread is wide and smooth, no hot spots. I personally wish it were tighter in the vertical axis to illuminate less of the foreground and soffet, but maybe it was hard to source LEDs with an asymmetric radiation pattern.Water resistance and longevity:I just got it today, I’ll try to update this review in a year if I remember. Conclusion:Seems great, this is pretty much what I’d do if I were designing an IR illuminator. Good job Tendelux!

Horrible!
Does not work at all with our 4k ring cameras to help at night and it even made it worse and as soon as you plug it in it got hot so we are returning it.
User
Well made and VERY bright.
It's a great light, well made and very bright. It's too bad it doesn't have a high/low switch. I had been using their AI4 model and it wasn't bright enough for my needs and at 20watts this is a bit too bright.Updated: Our NVR has exposure compensation settings. Which, according to the manual ..." Images produced by wide dynamic range (WDR) function sensors can have proper exposure on both the darker and lighter parts of the image, giving more detail across a wider dynamic range between the shadows and highlights by brightening dark areas and darkening bright areas.".Enabling exposure compensation solved the brightness problem.

Really helps
Used to enhance camera nighttime ability. Works well.

Small footprint
As a flood light to light up dark patches that your camera's build in IR can't reach it's OK but not for large or distant areas. The build quality is very good though.
User
Good quality, works well
I replaced a larger light with this one. Just as bright in a much smaller footprint. Very happy with the wide area the light covers, without hot spots. From other reviews I read, I think the product has been improved. First the mount seems to be metal not plastic. Second the light and power brick are separate, the light has about 18 inch cord with a barrel connector. Only gave a 4 star because haven't been thru a winter or long term use. Overall very happy thus far.Updated to 5 star. Light has worked well thru winter
