London when it was tiny and cute
So lovely to see old maps of London when it was so tiny you could walk from the east end to the west end in less time than it takes you to cross Westminster Bridge in a car during the rush hour.

London History in Maps.
This is totally absorbing - but of course most of the maps can be enjoyed only with a large magnifying glass. It is amazing to see the evolution of London, where I was born, and was a student, though Guernsey has always been my "home".There has been layer upon layer of generations of populations.

London: A History in Maps
If you are interested in history, and love maps, this is a a good book to get. There is a wide variety of maps, of the whole of London, and also smaller areas. Different eras of history are covered, and the maps support the facts. I am really enjoying reading the book and studying the maps.

The perfect gift
A brilliant book bought as a present for somebody who loves maps, lives and has spent his whole working life in London. He was over the moon with our choice of - what do you buy someone, who has everything-!

fascinating
Bought as a present for a friend and he can't get enough of it - he is asking for a magnifying glass to see the detail, and is totally engrossed at every opportunity
