Best Electric BBQ
Totally Awesome electric BBQ. Very impressed with how well this little beauty works. Heated up to 500 degrees very quickly and out steaks were perfect. We were very apprehensive when we had to sell our gas BBQ and purchase an electric BBQ after moving into a senior apartment but once again Webber came through. It's a little pricey but you get what you pay for. This is a winner,

Great Electric Grill
Purchased one a few weeks ago, and overall, I am satisfied. I previously used the ninja woodfire grill (electric) instead of my charcoal grill when I was pressed for time, but had a difficult time getting a good sear on steaks. After performing research on electric grills that achieve high searing temperatures, I decided to give this grill a try. This thing definitely gets hotter than the ninja woodfire. Food has a wonderful flavor and the cast iron grates are capable of imparting good sear marks. It’s easy to use and clean. There are a few minor drawbacks to the grill that I would like to point out. - Grill does reach 600F during preheating phase, but it does take some time to get there. I haven’t accurately timed it, but I believe it could be in the 20-30 minute range. Per Weber’s instructions, a dirty grill or probe connected to the controller unit can prevent the grill from reaching 600F. - As someone else has mentioned in their review, once you open the lid the temperature drops fast. I minimize the amount of time I open the lid and flip food quickly to close the lid and mitigate this issue. From what I’ve read online regarding the performance of other electric grills operating with open lids, this appears to be an inherent issue to electric grills. - Removal of the heating element to remove the basin underneath for cleaning could be challenging. The handle of my screwdrivers kept pushing up against the heating element, so I couldn’t get the screwdriver leveled and flush into inside screw. I had to buy a ratcheting screwdriver to get around this problem.

It’s an electric grill!!
So, one thing after moving to Canada from Mexico that I was missing was my BBQ Sundays. Back home is easy to have a charcoal (regular) or gas grill at home or anywhere you like, but here well, you know regulations… more and more buildings are banning even Gas Grills, but electric ones are fine. So literally spent months studying about these and was trying to make a very safe choice - and didn’t want to go for the cheapest option just because. Back home I had a Weber and, again after reading and doing a lot of research, decided to go on this one. I honestly don’t think is overrated- but do think might be overpriced as many other brands out there, but with Weber you know you are buying quality. And oh boy, didn’t disappoint. Obviously having an electric grill has its own learning curve - and obviously (as with any other type of grill) depending on the weather you might lose temperature when cooking with an open lid. Yes it gets up to the highest temperature specified and it does drop a lot when you open the lid, but you can actually feel how hot it is (when putting my thermometer to it, it drops to somewhere between 520 and 540 but for me is fine - and still can get my meat searing done quite well and fast). It is a very nice and compact grill ideal for small apartments. The only thing I found terrible is how short the cable is… That’s something that Weber needs to fix. Totally worth it.

Works perfectly
I was somewhat skeptical with this purchase. Overall, it had a good star rating, but was concerned about some of the negative reviews. I used to have a Weber gas grill and still have a Green Egg (still my fav). But recently moved into an apartment complex while building our new home, and electric was the only thing acceptable. I purchased the standard, not compact. First tried burgers, just to get used to the heat controls. Burgers turned out great. Then a large, thick ribeye. Took a little longer than I am used to, for the right internal temp, but turned out with a lot of flavor, nice charring on the outside. Couldn't tell it was from an electric grill. It really does get to 600+. If it is really cold or windy, not sure if it will make it to 600+, but I was impressed. Now ribs. Heated to 550, included a smoke box, lowered to below the "low" setting, stayed at 275, Opened the lid to get it there, but it stayed in the range for 3+hrs. Ribs turned out, favorable and off the bone (once I completed the 3-1-1). Overall, I have to say this grill exceeded all my expectations. No complaints so far....it only has been a week though. I didn't get the stand, due to all the negative reviews, and bought a different one from Amazon. Less than $100, and is sturdy and the right size and height (see pic). By the way, the regular size will fit two large slabs of ribs.

Weber Electric Grill
Best electric grill I have had. Tried the Ninja and the chargrill patio grill and was disappointed in both. Heats up to 600 as advertised. Great sear on foods. Food has grill marks and is crispy. Would definitely recommend purchasing, I bought black as it was less expensive than the colored one, so can save money.
