I have 7 sets of Rocco Rock glasses in 5 sizes the oldest being over a year. I watch Amazon's prices, as prices fluctuate quite a bit. I am gradually replacing my everyday glasses with this line. I was surprised reading reviews that others had problems with breakage. These were shipped with very little packing and all arrived in perfect shape. I have even had one bounce on my tile floor without breaking. They have been through the dishwasher many many times and still look brand new. They do tolerate hot liquids, but with no handles on the ones I have, are too warm to comfortably hold. They are tempered glass so if they were to break, by nature, they will shatter into tiny pieces as opposed to sharp shards. They are glass though, so one should take care not to subject them to sharp changes in temperature. Though the company is Italian, all 5 sizes I have say made in Spain(if it matters to anyone.) They stack well and I have not had any problem with them sticking together, but I always make sure they are completely dry and cool before stacking. The metric conversion may be off, but as others have mentioned, they are all about 1/2- 1 ounce off the capacity given(and that is filling to the rim.) They suit our needs fine though. The 16 oz size is a good one for a 12 oz soda with ice, or a 12 oz beer with head room. One set I purchased never arrived(Shipper's error, not Amazon's) and Amazon quickly replaced them with no problem. I would recommend these and Amazon. Update 1/3/2015- Having owned these approximately 3 years, and using them daily, we finally broke our first glass. It slipped from their hand, hit an end table and then bounced to the floor. Just as expected, the pieces were small and no sharp shards. It was not the first to be dropped, just the first to break. In comparison, I know in that same amount of time we have broken at least three wine glasses and a few glass jars, so we are not free from accidents. Life happens! As always, I would highly recommend these glasses!

I love these glasses so much! I wasn’t sure about the wavy grip area but it gives them a nice chic touch. But the winning factor for me is they stack so beautifully without wobbling!

I ordered the 16 ounce size, set of six, and the 9 ounce size in this style of glassware. It was time to update our home used glassware, so I was looking for some thing that could stack in the cabinet, had a sturdy bottom, less vulnerable to tipping when possibly bumped, and was easy to clean, dishwasher safe. These glasses came highly recommended through Amazon reviews. I have been using them now for a few days and my whole family agrees, they work great for all kinds of beverages. The set of six in each size was really reasonable in price. I love the way they wash in the dishwasher, and how they fit in the top rack. They have a nice nonagram "Nine sided shape" from the base to the top rim which is round. The short glasses also fit inside the top of the larger glasses. My son, who works for a restaurant equipment company recognized these glasses as widely used in many of the restaurants where he delivers kitchen equipment. I love the 9 ounce size, the big round top is easy for pouring juice or other beverages into without spilling. The 16 ounce are great for iced tea and water. Now it would be fun to find these glasses with a tint of color, not sure if that is available, but I will be looking to add to my sets.

Good: Hefty and well-balanced, will not tip over on the slightest excuse, even when full, as so many glasses do. High-quality tempered glass makes them shatter-resistant, although they will break if abused sufficiently. Mold marks are all but invisible. Stackable even when hot or wet with no risk of glasses jamming together. Bad: A bit high-priced, but you do get what you pay for. When they break they don't explode into slivers like regular glass, but they also don't break up into car-window-ish rounded bits as I was expecting when I saw "tempered glass." (Also, see below.) Ugly: Nothing; a pleasant minimalist design. Bottom line: I ordered a set of these - the 6-, 12.5- and 16-oz. sizes - in 2010, and was impressed enough with them to order another set this month when attrition made it needful. Five stars. Afterword: I have yet to see one of these glasses spontaneously shatter, as a few reviewers have reported, but I'm not all that surprised. I strongly suspect that these incidents were the result of running a scratched or chipped glass through the dishwasher or microwave. Tempered glass is intolerant of anything more than very minor damage; subjecting a deeply-scratched or -chipped glass to sudden heating or cooling is an open invitation for it to release the internal stresses that make up the "tempered" part. This is inherent in any tempered glass; it is not a product defect, but rather the trade-off for an overall stronger material. A glass with a significant scratch or chip should be thrown away. Fortunately, tempered glass is damage-resistant in the first place, so this won't happen often. I have yet to have to do so.

The Bormioli Rocco Rock Bar collection is a boon for my kitchen, family and guests. I can store enough in my small cupboards to allow me to rinse and wait till the dishwasher is full to run, and still have enough for the next family meal or snack. For company I prefer not to use disposable products and this collection allows for enough glassware to be available for a crowd of guests! Thank you Bormioli and Amazon. The 16.25 oz. glasses are perfect for the "big guys" with big hands. (I've sometimes wondered, watching guys reach for a glass of soda, if they feel they are living in a miniature world. Not with these glasses!) They are also perfect for smoothies, ice cream sodas, special sundaes. The 12.5 oz. is perfect for that all purpose beverage with ice - water, soda. iced tea (yes, I know there are special glasses for that), or a big helping of juice. The 9 oz. is the all-purpose glass for me. Not too much, not too little. I find I use this one most often. It is especially useful when you want to allow people to fill their glass, and ask for more; as opposed to fill a glass and not finish. The 6.75 oz. juice glass is a standard in my household. Every youngster can get a good grip on this glass and enjoy a beverage. The 2.5 oz. shot glass is, I thought, of little use to me, but I recently picked up a set on sale at a local store. Why? They are too cute. I recently used one for a granddaughter who wanted a drink of water at bedtime. It worked. I'll come up with some other uses --- how about filling with dip for small snack before bedtime? Then there's the 13.25 oz. double old-fashioned glass. Have not purchased these yet. They feel like a shorter version of the 16.25 oz. glass; a good feel for those with bigger hands or perfect for a short cocktail. Envision it to be perfect for a Manhattan-on-the-rocks. Bottom line is, for me, this line of glasses is so good that I spent all this time to talk about it.

These glasses are very sturdy and nice looking. I have a cast iron sink and have broken a number of thinner glasses while washing the dishes. These have stood up to the occasional slip and fall in the sink. They are stackable. I purchased the 12 oz, the 16oz, and the 21 oz. All are very nice glasses, very satisfied with this purchase.

These are a great size I ordered two sets of the 16.25 Oz. Great for all sorts of miscellaneous types of beverages. They appear to be great quality made in Italy. Nice weight. My only complaint is there is fairly difficult to remove stickers on every single glass that leaves residue so now I have 12 glasses to meticulously clean goo before I can put them away. I don't mind a basic wash but this seems excessive.

I love the quality of these glasses and are stackable, saving space in the cabinet. Also, they are lead free and easy to hold in the hand due to the design. Delivery was fast and packaging professional

Purchased stackable glasses to reclaim cupboard space. These are good quality. Substantial, good proportions and grip. Purchased in this as well as 2 other sizes. Very pleased. Was worried having seen other reviews about size but no such issues for me.
