Philips Sonicare for Kids Design a Pet Edition, Corded Electric, HX3601

My son used to always quickly brush his teeth using a handheld toothbrush, and would never brush properly. But after using the electric toothbrush, he has enjoyed brushing his teeth everyday. I like that there is a timer so my son knows when the time is up, and is a motivation for him to continue to brush until the time stops. The toothbrush is very easy to hold. It comes with stickers, but after a while, the stickers are not that sticky anymore and will peel off at the corner. But my son still loves brushing his teeth with the toothbrush. What's great is that the pack of brush heads that I bought for my own Philips Sonicare can be used for his toothbrush as well. The battery life is great, we didn't need to charge it yet.

Grandson loves this toothbrush. What I love is that it pauses quickly when "30 seconds" is up to let the child know to change the quadrant of the mouth. So then after 2 min, all for quadrants have been brushed properly. He loves the app that links to a tablet or phone that allows him to "brush the teeth of the monster" as he's brushing his own teeth. Makes it more fun - makes him want to brush. Good stuff.

This Sonicare kids toothbrush has completely changed our brushing routine. I have used Sonicare for twenty years and highly recommend their brand for quality products, so much better than manual brushing. The app is engaging with fun characters and a timer that helps my child brush the right way and for the full two minutes. It keeps a long charge and I am able to use the same charger as mine which is super convenient as we have four of them and simply rotate charging throughout the week. They work great for both my 3-year-old and 9-year-old. I bought the ages 7+ brush heads for my older one as the ones included are smaller and recommended for ages 3-7. It is gentle, yet effective, and we’ve already noticed cleaner teeth and better brushing habits. Highly recommend!

Purchased this for my 9 year old daughter after I purchased one for my son. I love this toothbrush and the app, it has helped my kids stay on top of brushing their teeth. There are two different vibration speeds which is great high/low, I could understand how the higher speed could intimidate a younger child. Appearance wise they absolutely loved picking out the color of their toothbrush and the sticker options to customize it. Power wise the toothbrush has held charge pretty well and the charging base is easy for a child, and doesn't take up much space. The downfall to this is the app sometimes is finicky connecting to the phone, and as long as the toothbrush is on during the brushing process of the app it counts. I really wish the app was more accurate on active brushing rather than just on. It would also be good to have a stop if too much pressure is applied for gum health. I feel the time isn't as long as it should be to thoroughly clean all sides of teeth. It would be neat if the app also could track the movement of where on the mouth they brushed and what needs to be circled back to. I am not even sure that would be possible but would be lovely. Overall it's a good toothbrush and one I wish I bought back when they were really little to enforce brushing better.

This toothbrush has been working great for my almost 5 year old. The brush head is nice and small for a young kid's mouth, and it's easy for him to use himself. My ONLY complaint is that, while it comes with the charging base and a USB cable, it doesn't include a wall plug like the adult version. I'm so sick of electronics not coming with chargers!!!

When my grandkids first opened these toothbrushes they were so excited! They enjoyed decorating the toothbrushes and chargers with the included stickers to make them their own. They had to use them right away. Immediately I noticed that their teeth looked cleaner. After the first use this toothbrush made a difference! Note: as with most power brushes; have your child put the brush in their mouth before turning on or you will have toothpaste palooza in your bathroom. Have them turn it off to spit also so all the stuff doesn’t splatter all over. The brush was a good fit for both the 5 & 7 year old and easy to handle (the 5 year old did take a little bit to get used to the grip and maneuvering the brush, but after a couple uses she had it down). It has 2 settings. 7 year old was fine with the regular setting, but the 5 year old preferred the gentle setting at first. The toothbrush shuts off after 2 minutes of brushing. The app: it’s cute, was easy to setup profiles and connect the toothbrushes to my phone. The kids had fun naming their Sparkly (cute, furry character on the app). When you tap the Sparkly he makes noises/faces. Sparkly gets upset if you miss “brushing its teeth”. The kids get gifts (paint to change the look of the Sparkly, treats to feed it, etc) when they complete challenges. When they turn the brush off to spit it pauses the 2 minute timer and starts again when they turn the brush back on. At times they have added more toothpaste and brushed again just to get more prizes/gifts or they didn’t “kill all the bugs”. I would say they used the app for about a month every time they brushed. Now it’s random and when they want to check on their Sparkly. That’s ok though because they have learned good brushing habits from the app. I can hear them telling each other “remember to get the bite surfaces” and other things they have heard using the app. The battery: great battery life. I usually charge the toothbrushes about every 7-10 days to make sure they always have power, but it has been longer between charges and haven’t had any issues. Conclusion: I reviewed MANY kids toothbrushes before making this purchase and I’m very pleased I choose the Phillips Sonicare for kids. No more battles to brush their teeth (except for when they argue about who gets to go first). Cleans their gums and teeth well. I have recommended this toothbrush to friends and coworkers with children.

Toothbrush is amazing! Daughter really enjoys brushing her teeth now and finds the app very engaging. Much prefer this to the oral b kids electric toothbrush she had. I like that it indicates when battery needs charging too and 2 brush modes. Also the stickers are cute. However, please note mine came with a US charger despite ordering from amazon UK. I tried to contact amazon regarding this, but apparently now you can't speak to a person at amazon only a chat bot which is completely useless. I ended up ringing Philips direct who kindly are sending me the correct plug. I'm not sure if legally if amazon should be sending this out with a US plug as pretty sure legally it should be provided with the correct one if ordering from a UK site.

Switched over from Oral B to Philips sonic. My 6 year old absolutely loves this. The brush heads are quite expensive though, and have a tendency to form mould inside, though not as much as oral-b brush heads. Highly recommended.

I find this so much easier to use than a manual toothbrush on my toddler. He hates the manual movement of a toothbrush and this seems to be much more gentle for him. We pretend we’re tickling his teeth and he loves it! Keeps his teeth nice and clean and he doesn’t fight me when brushing his teeth. He enjoys it.

I returned it on the spot cause of the broken head and it has been two weeks wothout any actions

When we first opened the box it was sealed as if it was new, but the brush that came with it looked used! With bite marks on the back of the brush!!! Thankfully i have bought a spare set of new brushes which i used and discarded the one it came with it... My daughter loves it, and uses the app daily to get her badges and gifts through the app... great choice for my kid!
