My children and I have planted a garden each year for the past few years. The first couple of years we had trouble getting the seeds to grow. These trays are perfect because we don't have to take our trays in and out of the garage daily. One year the trays were left outside during a frost. I like the silicone at the bottom and the grow lights. The lights spin to cover or open the holes in the top. I noticed some seeds grow better in a enclosed greenhouse environment. This set helps to provide that environment. I usually end up buying plants from the nursery when our seeds don't sprout. This product is a lifesaver. I appreciate the gardening tools and sticks to label that came in this set. This was a very useful and fun purchase. My children enjoyed planting our seeds and are watching them daily. I definitely recommend these trays for less stress and happy gardening.*UPDATEWe had sprouts in just a week.

I love these reusable trays for starting seedlings indoors! You can easily bottom water with this system which keeps the fungus gnats away. Germination rates are usually high with the humidity created by the clear dome. I usually spray the lid on the inside to increase the humidity and seeds respond really well to it. Once seedlings start getting their true leaves, you do have to move them out into bigger pots, but that's true of almost all seedling systems. I also like that the flexible bottoms allow you to easily pop the seedlings out for transplanting. I bought a larger, cheaper tray system from a name-brand gardening company and have had so much trouble getting anything to sprout. These are fool-proof! I plan on buying another set soon!

Size is as expected. I work in the nursery and greenhouse industry and the size of the cells is just fine for the germination step. These are not designed to be used to grow any plant to full size. It’s designed to germinate and grow to be transplanted to a larger pot. For example, you I’m starting peppers and tomatoes currently. A few weeks after germination I will transplant them into bigger pots where they will grow an additional 4-6 weeks before I harden them and finally plant in the garden.3 stars because the wiring for the lights and s garbage. There is a step down in gauge at the connection where it transitions from 3 into 1. The final wire is only 26 awg. The connector was also faulty. I had to cut out the connector and then splice and solder everything back together for the lights to work. Not hard to do, but kinda hate having to fix a brand new product. Also knew it could be an issue based on reviews so I wasn’t sending back for a replacement.Happy growing!

It's time to start growing my seedlings for my garden, and was hoping someone would come up with a tray set that was much easier to get out the seedlings and soil as well as a lot more sturdy so that the plastic trays wouldn't crack or break trying to get them out.This Seed starter tray does all of that. It also is a lot firmer and the clear plastic top seals much better to keep bugs out.I also added a light kit you can see in these pictures, so I can grow my seedlings indoor.This Seed starter tray kit has been the best I have come across so far.Now, I just have to be patient and wait to see the results.I also have placed to black tray (one of them) I have to show the differences. By far, the kits with the white trays are much sturdier, seal better and I forget to mention the new trays also have an added feature on the trays. The bottoms are rubber so you can easily push out your seedlings and not worry about the trays cracking/splitting on the bottoms. It also comes with tools and heart shaped signs you can write what you are growing in your trays instead of masking tape (what I use to use). There were so many signs I was even able to use one in my old black seedling tray.I'm very impressed with this new Seed starter tray kit.

Nice little seed starting kit comes with covers to hold in The humidity. Also includes a pen and little markers so that you can remember what you’ve got planted in each tray. comes as a set of three complete little sets each one of the trays has a silicone bottom to make it easy to pop out the peat pot once your seeds have germinated. These look like they would be reusable over several seasons.
