A wonderful book that makes you feel like you can make a difference!
As expected, this book is a gentle guide to how to be a better person. I love this author’s books for their reassuring and encouraging messages. I’ve previously purchased the Big Panda and Little Dragon books as gifts for my daughters who are in their early twenties. I added hand-written notes to several pages to customize their books and to share encouragements that I felt they could use. They loved it! I’m planning to gift this to one of my girls and The Dog Who Followed the Moon to the other again this year. The illustrations are lovely and perfectly fit the tone and feel of this piece.

The meaningful lessons of life taught by a sensei cat. Wonderfully illustrated.
Wonderfully written. Beautiful illustrations. I have purchased several to give as gifts. The cat both teaches and learns some of life's most meaningful lessons. It is a book for all ages.

Wonderful lessons for young people
Though this book may be appropriate for all ages, I lean toward it being more for children and young adults. While there is a message for evereyone, the writing seems directed toward younger age groups in my opinion. I've read a number of the negative reviews and honestly don't understand them. There are a number of lessons to be learned here that might be obvious to an adult, but not necessarily automatic to children. The illustrations are wonderful. I plan to pass my copy along to my twelve year old grandson who I think will love it.

Beautiful Story with Gorgeous Watercolor Paintings
This is a straight-to-the-heart tender story that works either at the simple, direct level or at the metaphorical level. It includes many stylized illustrations that accurately portray the atmosphere of the story. Highly recommend.
