Useful

Good substitute of a wood planer. If you're inclined to DIY small home repairs, it's a handy tool, to remove the swollen door edges especially in the monsoon season, to make the door shut well. No carpenters required. Mark the interference portion and remove with long strokes, the undesirable portion. Coat the exposed surface with lincid oil to prevent further ingress of moisture. Make sure: Store the planner in clean and dry storage utility. Can be re-shaped on 400> number abrasive cloth/paper held on plain surface.

just ok product. normal block plane is a different product and much more versatile. this is a one type use will take longer if you wan to chip out a thicker slice for door/window closing.

I had a swollen door bottom which prevented it from closing. So I used this tool in the limited space I had, thanks to Stanley, and did the job at the end. Thanks Stanley.

I use this surform shaver for my ceramics. Works great and I believe you can get new “blades” when needed.
