Python GUI Programming - A Complete Reference Guide

Not really a reference guide
I'm not an expert programmer and I was looking for a reference guide that would outline each widget and it's details in a simple, logical order so I can reference it when I want to implement it in my code. The author defines the need for using Tkinter in his sample program and then dives into the code and describes each widget as the code requires it. The sample programs are good examples but there are some things the author used that I felt were not explained well. I needed to do my own research online to find more details. I suppose if you are a seasoned programmer, this book would make more sense but I had a hard time following everything he did. I think calling this a reference guide is a bit of a stretch. I've gone through the first 4 chapters already and I am still not comfortable implementing Tkinter in my own program. There is a lot of complexity introduced early on that I would have preferred to be introduced in later chapters. It's not really a methodical approach to learning Tkinter.

Low instructional value.
There’s are some good examples of what is covered, but only a few tidbits here and there. I wouldn’t recommend buying this book, especially if you are new to TK and it’s limitations in Python.
