TritonTool Rest TWSTR Tool Rest (208064)

The tool rest is a larger flat plate than expected I was quite surprised by the size looked very small from the pictures so it gives a well balanced stable platform to work from im using it for sharpening wood turning tools mainly and it’s very good for the scrapers nicely made and fits the tormek t4 didn’t realise the quality of these triton tools till I purchased one so have ordered more not going to keep paying high prices for tormek when triton are just as good could have saved quite a bit if I’d bought the triton whetstone grinder but wasn’t certain of the quality at the time but I’m buying triton jigs as they do the same job but cheaper recommended

Thought this would be a handy addition for my Triton Whetstone grinder but its worse than useless.In a nutshell it doesn't stay where its put. Do up the locking screw as tight as you can an it still slips.In most cases like this I'd roughing up the bar it attaches to and changing the thumb screw to a bolt I could tighten with a spanner, but in this case you want the bar smooth for other attachments to slide easily along.

Brilliant tool rest which will help me out doing lots of sharpening and shaping of tools. ALOT CHEAPER then TORMEK which are just the same as these so why pay double for the same item
