Q: I am 5'3 and weigh 190 but i am not busty should i purchase l or xl?

I thought I needed large and am busty but ended up exchanging for a medium. The fit is very roomy.

Hi, Elizabeth, I'm not sure what to tell you exactly. I'm 5'5" and weigh 180 lbs; the size Large works perfectly for me. Perhaps you can determine what your size should be based on that. I will tell you, I LOVE mine. I got the black, and it looks really nice on, yet is comfortable. I'd definitely buy another if I wasn't saving money for a new car. I wish you luck.

Q: I'm 5' 9", would I be able to wear this as a dress? Would it be long enough?

I'm 5'2 and for me, it was too short, about 7" above knee.

Q: Are the buttons functional or just for appearances?

O own 3 of these tops. White, Navy Blue, and the Light Chambray. All 3 have functional buttons. They are relatively close together. I obviously love this top! Even though it’s loose and flowing, due to the construction of the sleeves and how they join the bodice it’s quite slimming!
