there are no instructions in English! how do i prepare them? will they expand to large size...like at a bobba house?

for anyone who may ask how to cook sago: 1) boil water (approximately half of the pot and enough to cover the pearls). 2) when it boils add the tapioca pearls 3) cook the pearls for 10-15 mins until it feels soft and changes to a transparent color. 4) turn off stove, transfer pot to another side of the stove (where it’s cool) and cover the pot with a lid for 10 mins. (to make sure the pearls cook evenly). 5) strain pearls in a small hole strainer so that the pearls don’t fall out) and wash the pearls with COLD water. 6) add it to any dessert or drink you like (i.e mango sago, boba milk/tea). to answer your question, these kinds of pearls will not expand in size. if you are looking for pearls that expand in size, look for “(large) tapioca pearls!

Soak these tiny pearls in a boiling water and let them soak for 2-3 hrs.

Are thse the 5 minute and ready tapioca pearls?

No. They must be soaked. For at least 30 minutes, then it takes about 30 minutes to cook. It is well worth the wait and effort!! I will never go back to instant!! These pearl are larger than the ones in instant so taste better!!!

Absolutely!!! Just look up a recipe on line for pudding from scratch and make sure you soak the tapioca balls for at least 30 minutes before cooking. You’ll never buy instant again!!
