Works perfectly
It works exactly as described. My Freesat box comes with an IR controller instead of a Bluetooth controller and the box sits in a different room. This carries the IR signal from the sensor, down the HDMI cable to the other room, then the emitter delivers my controller input. Perfect! Other reviews here described the plastic as flimsy which I understand after receiving the item, so I cut some strong tape and wrapped it around the base of each unit to keep things strong for years to come.

Works very well at a great price.
Used it with a 10 meter HDMI and works great, no delays in button presses. The IR receiver though is quite big (about the size of a malteaser) and has a little red LED that stays on permanently.

Avoid purchasing these, they are too fragile for use.
This isn't a complaint, just a polite warning to other buyers from wasting your time (and money)Technically they work brilliantly, however they are so fragile both in their physical size and in the way the female hdmi port side has not been soldered well enough onto the board (see photo) so they fall apart just by the lightest of cable stress / pressure just from a standard braided hdmi cable type bending over naturally a few degrees.Bought 2 lots, (2nd to replace first purchase) both did the same and I was prepared for it second time so even put some gaffer tape around them and the cable to offer extra support. No dice. So I gave them fair crack.1st buy was Jan this year - lasted 5 weeks.2nd lot in Feb to replace the first as I couldn't wait for replacements - not sellers fault - I didn't contact them. they've lasted 7 weeks.

No instructions
I am disappointed that no connecting instructions are included in the package

Works fine but handshake drops off overnight
The product works OK but the handshake seems to drop off overnight so have to unplug and then re-plug the hdmi lead. Is this a known problem? Does the unit need some form of boost?

It’s great
This adapter works !I took others people’s advice and strengthened , with electricians tape , the adapter to the hdmi cable . That’s the only thing wrong with this thing , it feels cheap , which it is . Works perfectly running a sky Q box down a 15 metre cable to my t.v. A very cheap fix as a remote I.r blaster for cheap . Very pleased with it .
