Quality Decent. Heavy For It's Size
Bought last year. Just getting around to installing.Looks decent quality. Either lost manual or it didn't come with one. Anyone can scan me a pic showing reprogramming the combinationon the lock?

Well Built Wall Safe.
I love the quality and ease of use of this wall safe. This thing arrived in a rather flimsy weak box however, and was torn, and beat up, but thankfully the safe was unharmed, and in perfect condition. The thing that I did like about the packaging, was the heavy plastic corner protectors, attached to all corners…SMART! The combination lock works fantastically, and there’s two keys that comes with it in case you forget the combo, or the batteries die. I did have a problem with the operation of the door after the install, however it was an easy fix, and I would like to share this remedy, should you encounter the same problem. After I hung the safe, the door was hard to open; I would have to tug on the handle to get it to open. Don’t tug on the handle, as it should open smoothly, and tugging on that handle could break something. The bottom left corner of the door was rubbing against the casing/frame of the safe. If yours is doing the same, simply add another metal washer (or shim) to the bottom right pivot pin (acts like a hinge). You will need a 6mm Alan Wrench to loosen the top “hinge pin”, then pull up on the door, which releases the lower pin from its seat. Don’t be worried if the top hinge pin falls out, simply put it back in its enclosure. You’ll find two shims there, (under bottom pin where the door sits, and pivots). Simply add another shim (washer), stacking it on top the others, which will raise the door, preventing any rubbing or binding of the door in that area, making a smooth open and close operation. The washer I added was about 1/16” thick -or- thinner. I’m sorry for making this so wordy, ….just trying to help someone, if in the same predicament. Also, this safe fits nicely between the studs, and there will likely be a gap between the side of safe and studs, which could require some material to be added to the stud (on one side) to take up that gap, to mount properly; not all 16” on center wall studs, are perfectly 16” OC, so it’s better the safe be a little too small, than a little too big; It’s easier to buildup the space, than take away material from the wall stud. Measure the space in between (your) studs, and the safe width, and attach (to the stud) whatever thickness filler material needed the take up that gap. Don’t make it too tight though. I’m glad I found this safe, the price, with free shipping, and quality made this a great deal.

Exactly what I needed
I have been looking for a wall safe that had the interior room and digital keypad that this safe has for some time. It is exactly as advertised. It installed in the wall between studs in less than 30 minutes with the lag bolts provided. I removed one shelf so allow for larger documents and the lower hide-a way area is perfect for small loose items. It comes with hooks on the inside top of the door for keys and there is a small interior light that provides a small amount of light if needed.Overall, very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend.

Keypad fails to work when batteries are low, which is every couple of months.
I've found that the keypad burns through batteries, and when I key in my combination it responds with a 5-beep and yellow flashing light, will not open. I very seldom access this safe. But when I do, I'm finding that invariably I must use the backup key instead of the keypad combination -- which is very unfortunate. Upon opening it, I can replace batteries, reprogram the combo, and then the keypad works again for a bit. If I cannot reliably use the keypad, suddenly these two keys that came with it are pretty important -- so I'll be trying to find out how to get copies.

Great Safe!
The safe fits perfectly in between studs spaced 16" apart. To make the install easier (as I installed it solo), I built a ledge at the base of the cutout with a 2x4 to rest the safe on. I then attached the bolts to the wall studs from the inside of the safe. Hardest part was making sure the ledge I built was level.
