Well RAM is easily installed just follow instructions on how to upgrade MacBook RAM. Works great, went from 4GB RAM to 16GB. In general there’s an improvement in overall speed. No big complaints, seems like a legit product. I would recommend trying it out if you need more Mac RAM. These MacBooks were never really meant for hardcore gaming. On the spouse’s system I was able to play planet base around 30fps. So some stuff is at least playable. I did re-paste the MacBook, upgrade storage to an SSD & add these RAM cards though.

This was surprisingly easy to install and the outcome is amazing!! I’m not a tech guy (at all). My iMac 27” late 2013 model was running slow. Did a search found these, read the reviews….perfect bought it. Installed from directions online specific to my model in literally 5 minutes. Maybe less…fired that thing up and OMG…I should’ve done this years ago. I think it’s faster than when I first bought it. Literally, click the button to do what I want and it’s almost instant. Perfect!! Before, it took almost 5 minutes to login and open up all my docs and windows needed for work and school. Get this if you’re having similar issues. You won’t regret it!!

I bought this to see if a YT vlogger's claim that a 2012 Mac Mini could, in fact, be made to successfully run Mac OS newer than Catalina. The Mini was painfully slow and was going to be relegated to the discard pile. Before I did that I thought I'd try a memory upgrade first. 4GB to this 16GB? Will that make a difference? I couldn't believe it. By all means give this a try. They are SO easy to install. I also replace the HDD with an SSD and I truly have a new computer. It worked perfectly. I can highly recommend this upgrade.

This was the right product for my macbook and at a good price. The chips installed easily, however, check the screw type on the bottom of your macbook to see if you need to order a five blade screw driver rather than a philips. The chips work great - they speeded up the performance of my laptop.

Works great

Install and packaging are pretty much the same no matter what RAM you buy so ... it was packed right. It installed about as easily as anything on a Mac. I upgraded a late 2012 Mac Mini with 8 GB and a platter drive to 16 GB of RAM and an SSD. After the last OS update, the machine slowed to a crawl and was virtually worthless - even for just using it to browse and read messages without picking up my phone. Now it's responsive - at least as good as 4 years and a few OS updates ago if not a bit faster than even then. Upgrading the RAM and drive took about 1/2 an hour (if you have the tools you need and are used to working on Mac Mini's or at least laptops - otherwise budget an hour) No major issues though I did damage the heat shield but it's working fine and I figured $100 in RAM and a drive to extend it a year or two is fine since it's my Fourth PC on my desk and I just use it for non-work chatting and browsing. Totally happy (even impressed) by how much better it boots and runs. The only complaint - it takes nearly 3 days to get the RAM and the first set had a bad DIMM so I had to return it so I had to wait a week after I'd upgraded the drive to get working RAM but the return process was easy and they shipped the replacement before the defective one even got to UPS. For upgrading an 8-year-old spare PC it's totally worth it. If I was trying to upgrade a new machine (if you even can) I might stick with higher performance / better-known RAM like OWC, Kingston or Crucial but for the value, this was way worth it. Sadly, this is probably the last time I can pull the RAM and drive swap on an older machine as my newer ones aren't really field servicable.

I had upgraded my late 2012 Mac mini to Catalina OS and it was so slow it was hardly usable. I still had an iPad but I had pretty much given up on the desktop and thought I should just save for a new mini. I decided to take a chance and bought this new ram, 16 gb, as this is as much as it could take. WOW! It is like a new computer. Instead of five minutes for booting it is like 15 seconds. Mail fills in quickly and browsing is as quick as I can hit enter. I don't know why I suffered. Do it now!

Easy replacement for Mac Mini Late 2012. I am pleased that the product is suitable and functioning well.

I installed the 16 GB ram in my mid 2012 Macbook Pro and it has made a huge difference. Previously this laptop sat in cupboard as it was unusable due to lag and freezing. I used ChatGPT to confirm my laptop was running out of memory/RAM and after doing this swap my Macbook is working brilliantly. Took 15 minutes to swap out as my current RAM in my Macbook got stuck.
