Really liked this case. It is well made and fits the original internals pretty much perfectly and looks pretty original once finished. Old case was pretty beat up after all these years and really wasn't nice. New case also came with the special 3-point screwdriver needed for some of the screws which is nice. I was able to change it all in about an hour. Hardest part was just the shoulder buttons, which have a tiny spring and pin you need to put in and hold while putting it back in the case. Takes a bit of work, but it does the job and everything fits. New case looks very nice. Only bad thing was that my old screen had problems, so I went and replaced it as well with an IPS drop in screen and now I have an awesome looking gameboy that will last many many more years to come. Only other thing I could maybe recommend would be replacing the battery in the device. You can get an original style battery which are easy to find and cheap, or upgrade to a newer one with USB C. But I would rather keep the original one. It still lasts a very long time playing games and the original connector for charging is easy to find. I even have a connector that lets me connect up to USB for charging, since the device charges at the same voltage as USB. Those are cheap to get as well. Case also comes with a new rear sticker which is cool. Though my sticker was still in good enough shape that I transferred it to the new case, helping it look more authentic. Many different cases to choose from. I took the classic NES version because I found it looked the best in this collection.

Ich bin mit diesem Gehäuse für den Game Boy Advance SP sehr zufrieden. Ich habe mich für die Variante "Classic NES Style" entschieden. Lieferumfang: Im Vergleich zu vielen Konkurrenzprodukten ist hier nahezu alles enthalten, was man braucht. Einzig die Scharniere müssen aus dem alten Gehäuse wiederverwendet oder neue separat gekauft werden. Hier empfehle ich, die originalen Scharniere erneut zu verwenden, wenn deren Zustand es erlaubt. Sie funktionieren einfach besser als die meisten nachproduzierten Optionen. Sehr schön finde ich außerdem, dass die Buttons sowohl in grau als auch rot mitgeliefert wurden. So kann man das Design etwas nach eigenem Geschmack anpassen. Die beigelegten Schraubendreher tun zwar, was sie sollen - sind aber etwas unhandlich und dem Preis entsprechend nicht allzu hochwertig. Wenn man eigenes Werkzeug, z.B. von iFixit hat, sollte man lieber zu diesem greifen. Kleiner "Nachteil": Bei Gehäusen von eXtremeRate ist auf dem Gehäusedeckel keine Aussparung für das Nintendo-Logo vorhanden. Qualität: Ich hatte noch nicht viele nachproduzierte GBA SP Gehäuse, empfinde dieses aber als sehr hochwertig. Die Oberfläche ist angenehm weich, die Farben sowie das gesamte Design sind sehr schön und gleichmäßig aufgetragen. Die einzelnen Teile fühlen sich stabil an und sind sehr passgenau. Einziger Minuspunkt: Die Schrauben sind wohl sehr weich, wodurch deren Kopf schnell kaputt gehen kann. Hier ist Vorsicht geboten. Sehr praktisch: Wenn man auch das Display gegen ein IPS-Display austauschen möchte, kann man dies ohne weitere Veränderungen am Gehäuse tun. Es ist bereits für diese vorbereitet. Fazit: Ein wirkliches schön nachproduziertes Gehäuse für den GBA SP mit sehr umfangreichem Lieferumfang. Der Preis ist absolut angemessen und ich würde in Zukunft weitere Gehäuse von eXtremeRate kaufen. Den mitgelieferten Sticker für die Rückseite habe ich noch nicht angebracht, da ich überlege, einen dem Original nachempfundenen Sticker zu kaufen. Der Sticker von eXtremeRate besitzt ein eigenes, Nintendo-loses Design (mit schöner Holo-Optik!). Ebenso fehlen auf meinen Bildern sowie dem Video die Abdeckungen für die Schrauben um das Display. Diese sind natürlich mitgeliefert, ich habe sie jedoch erst später angebracht.

Tengo muchas carcasas de Xtreme Rate para mandos de Xbox y Playstation. Me gusta mucho la calidad tan superior que tienen y la resistencia, pero esta carcasa me ha dejado frío. Creo que es por los colores grises, son muy apagados y tiene como una capa semi brillante que apaga los colores un montón. Pongo una foto comparativa con el mando original de Nes, el negro es oscuro, pero en la carcasa de XtremeRate no es tan vivo y no quedan bien. Además no hay hueco en la carcasa para montar el logo oficial de Nintendo, no ves por ningún lado la palabra Nes, Famicom o Nintendo Entertainment System (por razones de licencia obviamente). Además si eres purista, las rallas de una Nes no son tan anchas como en esta carcasa. Además la mía vino con un fallo de impresión, solo apreciable si te fijas pero una vez sabes que está ahí, te incomoda. Al final no la he montado, no me han gustado los colores tan apagados que tiene, no queda bien en una vitrina iluminada. Seguro que es una carcasa ultra resistente y de calidad brutal como de costumbre, pero han fallado en los colores, negros tirando a grises y rojos poco perceptibles.
