NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • A small-town sweetheart and an emotionally unavailable bad boy try to find some common ground in this chemistry-filled romance from the author of The Cheat Sheet and When in Rome. A POPSUGAR AND CHICAGO PUBLIC LIBRARY BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR Annie Walker is on a quest to find her perfect match—someone who complements her happy, quiet life running the local flower shop in Rome, Kentucky. But finding her dream man may be harder than Annie imagined. Everyone knows everyone in her hometown, and the dating prospects are getting fewer by the day. After she overhears her latest date say she is “so unbelievably boring,” Annie starts to think the problem might be her. Is it too late to become flirtatious and fun like the leading ladies in her favorite romance movies? Maybe she only needs a little practice . . . and Annie has the perfect person in mind to be her tutor: Will Griffin. Will—the sexy , tattooed, and absolutely gorgeous bodyguard—is temporarily back in Rome, providing security for Amelia Rose as excitement builds for her upcoming marriage to Noah Walker, Annie’s brother. He has one personal objective while on the job: stay away from Annie Walker and any other possible attachments to this sleepy town. But no sooner than he gets settled, Will finds himself tasked with helping Annie find the love of her life by becoming the next leading lady of Rome, Kentucky. Will wants no part in changing the sweet and lovely Annie. He knows for a fact that some stuffy, straitlaced guy won’t make her happy, but he doesn’t have the heart to say no. Amid steamy practice dates and strictly “educational” tutoring lessons, Annie discovers there are more layers to Will’s usual stoic attitude. As the lines of their friendship become dangerously blurred, Annie reconsiders her dream guy. Maybe her love life doesn’t need to be perfect—it just needs to be real. A soft rom-com that feels a little too personal
This book surprised me in the best way. What looks like a light rom-com slowly turns into a story that feels deeply relatable. It’s about being the “easy to love” girl who wants stability, plans, and a future — and accidentally falling for someone who’s scared of commitment. The romance is warm, funny, and full of small moments that make your heart melt — practice dates, flirting lessons, quiet conversations, and gestures that feel straight out of romance books. The emotional connection grows naturally, and the characters feel real, flawed, and human. What I loved most is how comforting this book feels. It’s cute without being shallow, emotional without being heavy, and romantic without being unrealistic. If you enjoy soft rom-coms with emotional depth, small-town charm, and characters you can see yourself in, this one is worth picking up.

Practice Makes Perfect by Sarah Adams
It’s the second book in the When in Rome series, set in a charming small town🏘️ in Kentucky, Rome. The story follows Annie Walker👱🏻♀️, a sweet and introverted flower shop owner, and Will Griffin👨🏻, a protective and caring bodyguard. It all begins with Annie’s failed date, which pushes her to step out of her comfort zone with Will helping her as her “dating coach.”💫 I loved the cozy small-town setting, the lighthearted banter between Annie and Will that often made me smile, and the hilarious fights between Harriet and Mabel that added so much fun to the story😅. Mabel, with her motherly warmth, was such a lovable character who made the town feel even more homely. The residents were absolutely delightful and gave the book a comforting, close-knit charm. Annie’s gentle nature and Will’s kindness and protectiveness made them such a lovely pair,🩷. Overall, I truly enjoyed this book!✨

I adore this book💕
"It seems to me, Annie, that you are just waiting for someone to give you permission to be yourself out loud." . 📖: Practice makes Perfect by Sarah Adams 💕 . What you'll find in this book: • Opposite Attract • Fake Dating / Lessons • Small Town Romance • H is a bodyguard . I love the Author's writing style and read few books of her so when I came to know her book was coming I was so ready to read it on the release date. It was fun, playful, light and hopeful kinda book. I really liked it. I really liked Will and Annie. They had explosive chemistry from the minute they met. I got everything I could ask for in Will’s POV and he was book boyfriend worthy. I really liked how much effort he made for Annie. And loved when he got jealous. It was cute 😂💕 I adore Annie. She was shy and introverted which I totally get as an introvert myself and really liked when she come out of her shell and also when she was ready to tell everyone how she truly felt. I loved who she was, who she became and everything in between. Would love to read another Sarah Adams book in future. And will definitely recommend this book if you love the tropes mentioned above. 💜

Utter perfection for the end of series
This enchanting, wholesome read left me giggly and blushing. The chemistry and tension between the leads were perfection, exceeding my expectations and pulling me into a charming world I couldn’t help but love. In this house we stan a man who can communicate—Griffin, with his “I’m not gonna catch feelings” energy and tender heart wrapped in floral tattoos, is peak book boyfriend. His unwavering support for Annie, wanting her to change absolutely nothing about herself, was everything. Sarah delivers a tender, witty, and emotional love story I adored to pieces.

My Heart!
I read When In Rome and I thought that nothing could be better… I was so wrong! Practice Makes Perfect detroned that one by a long shot 😅 This book has my entire heart ♥️ Will has my heart 🥹 I am convinced that Will is the best book boyfriend EVER! He is so playfull, so sweet and caring, that I just can’t 🥺 And the communication?! Guys, this is how everyone should communicate, not just with our parter, but with our family and friends. Their are just so honest with each other, they understand one other so well and they learned to read each other in a very easy way. Jez, I was like “oh god 🥺” ALL THE TIME!! Sarah Adams really did a awesome job here! I thought she had a way with words in When In Rome, but it’s wayyyy better in this one. Will and Annie are one of my favourite couples ever and this book is now in my 3 top favourite book of all times.

*Adorably Cute*
**4.5-5 Stars** This is book two in the ‘When in Rome Series’ it was a brilliant, cosy and hilarious read. I enjoyed it so much that I found myself re-reading chapters for the fun of it. Rome in Kentucky seems to be filled with a bucket load of hilarious characters. I also recommend adding the audio I laughed so much about this town and the people who get so much into your business. This for me pipped book one as I fell in love with Annie, she is the youngest sister of Noah from book one. There are 3 sisters and she is the one who owns a flower shop and virtually blends into the background. Her Sister in law to be Amelia is a pop star and has requested her usual bodyguard Will to be with them leading up-to and including the wedding Annie has never had a good date and the one she is on is no different. She is not used to saying much and cannot find the words to connect with him. Yet, she finds it so easy to relate to Will but believes he is out of her league. Will hates commitment due to the upbringing he had with his parents and their serial cheating and constant arguments making his and his brother’s life hell. There are so many laugh out loud moments and Amelia her sister in law to be spots a spark between the two. So she comes up with a plan to get Will to be Annie’s practice date, the idea is that Will has to show Annie where she is going wrong and give her tips ……… Both think of it as a bad idea and then all the fun begins. What a hoot and I absolutely loved how Annie came out of her shell and how Will wrestles with himself that he will never fall in love trying to convince himself that he will finish this job and leave the town by keeping Annie at arms length. I just sat back and enjoyed the journey with the outrageous busy bodies thrown in lol
