Wide Angle (V2) Version of Amcrest's 4k Offering
This is an updated, wide-angle version of their black 4k camera, with an added bonus feature. First off, this is a nice wide-angle 2.8mm lens, so it covers a wider field of view (105 degrees) than their standard 4k camera. This is good to cover perimeter security/surveillance, or wider areas of your yard or business. Because of this, they have omitted the LED light, as it just wouldn't cover a wide enough angle. This also leaves out the 'Night Color' color night vision feature of the other camera. It even leaves off audio recording, which again, if you're covering a wide area, the microphones usually don't cover the wide angles, and only records well when the sounds are in front of the camera, so I guess it makes sense to leave this out. That bonus feature I was talking about was 'Emergency (store on SD card) feature in the NAS configuration section. Because I use Synology Surveillance Station as an NVR on my NAS (network attached storage) device, I don't usually consider microSD cards, with the exception of the possibility of a problem with my network or NAS. Some cameras can record to both, but I have never tried to see how this would work with Amcrest cameras. Now that I am testing these, I see this feature. This tells me that if the NVR/NAS is unavailable, it will record to the internal SD card. This is a very nice feature to have. All of the other features on this camera are top-notch. The video quality is very good, although because of the lens parameters, digital zoom isn't quite as good as the others I've tested, and I wasn't able to read small text when zooming at 16x like I have tested with the other 4k cameras Amcrest has. This is to be expected, however. My night vision test came back with an excellent score. It only took a few seconds for the camera to kick back into day mode after turning on lights.Overall, these are very nice cameras for their intended use case - perimeter monitoring. For the price, these cameras are a no-brainer.

4K captures the detail
I am gradually replacing all my 1080P cameras with 4K cameras. The devil is in the details, and, in the event of a crime, the more detail, the better the evidence. I have tried a number of different brands over the years, and I have found Amcrest to be the most consistently reliable, and true to their claimed capabilities. The image sharpness and stability of these 4K bullet cameras is in keeping with the expected Amcrest quality.I run a 16 channel POE router on a separate server using Blue Iris professional software. I have never had difficulty adding Amcrest cameras to my network- they just work.

Very Nice IP Cameras - Optionally Cloud Independent - No Wi/Fi Or DC Power Cord Included
Very Nice IP Cameras - These are nice outdoor cameras that have almost all the features you would want from a camera. The picture is pretty good and specifications show a 4k resolution, I am not sure if it is true 4k resolution as none of my cameras ever seem to look like the purported resolution on my computer.Optionally Cloud Independent - I like all my home systems cloud independent. The camera options and storage are all available to be in a private network only. The camera options can be accessed by the ip address in a web browser url that gives all the camera options in terms of settings, network settings, storage, sensitivity, scheduling, recording, and other administrative options. Thus, the camera can be blocked from outside access and still work in an internal network fine.Blue Iris Compatible - Was able to add it to my blue iris system with ease.POE Reliant - Works by POE but does not have Wi/Fi options. It can also be used with a normal ethernet system, but will need to be powered by a DC power input. Unfortunately it does not come with a power adapter for the DC input, so if one were to plan on using the DC input they would also have to find the right sizing and power specs. For this amount of pricing, was hoping they would just include the DC adapter or have a more universal type of power input like USB-C.

Built like a tank
These cameras have held up despite some pretty serious weather over the months. They're IP67 rated and also have an all metal housing which I'm sure would hold up to light debris knocking into it. Image quality is fantastic during the day. App interface is easy to use. Overall I'm impressed with how these have performed over the past months.

Convenient browser configuration interface, and smooth pairing to ONVIF system
Linking the Amcrest 4K camera to an ONVIF NVR system was easy, and it also looks like everything can be set from the browser interface. DHCP was enabled by default, so all I had to do was check what address it was assigned on the router, change it to a MAC-linked DHCP reservation, and reboot the camera. Detection, SD card recording, notifications, and NAS or FTP uploads can be configured from within the browser interface, so theoretically you should be able to set these cameras up to be fully autonomous without an NVR as long as they have power and a network connection. The only thing that bugs me is the 30V rating on the Ethernet cable, considering it will be seeing 48V+ PoE. I have seen that a few times, though in my experience it can be an indicator of a lower-quality CCA cable. I didn't cut the cable to open to check, and it does have a DC connector that can be used instead if necessary.

The resolution and quality is incredible
I love this brand and these security cameras. I'm so impressed with how much detailed resolution comes through. It's definitely hands down the best quality security camera I have ever operated. The night vision is great. We live in a fairly well-lit area, so that might help too. It's not super grainy like most things I've tried and gone through. It seems pretty weatherproof and weather resistant. We've been pummeled by different storms over the last few months and these cameras have done great! It's like they are still brand new.

Easy setup for IP camera DIYers
I'm at an "intermediate" level with IP cameras, and was very impressed with this pair. A proprietary app isn't required, and the web interface that comes pre-loaded allows for a bunch of different configurations. Resolution is great, and the low light feature is top notch. Recommended and would buy again!
