I originally bought it for my 5 yrs old as a present. Did not have much expectations as it was meant to be a toy. But it tured out to be exceptionally good, so it has now become *our toy*!The basic functions are fairly intuitive. My son could do the long-press on/off and zoom in/out. However, he hasn't master the focusing yet, so I still have to do that for him. Beyond that, he had a lot of fun with it - looking at pencil tips, tables top, my skin (not cool), sofa (scary), … We even had a contest on who could write smaller prints (smaller than a regular magnifier can see), lots of fun!We've only used the scope's basic functions so far - that is, as a magnifier. It is worth 5 star on that alone. The display is great. Focusing is easy. It also allows you to see things a little above/below the surface. For example, dirts above and below my sofa (yuck). Finding your object is also easy, just move the scope in the nature direction (unlike some optical scopes where you need to move the opposite way because the image is flipped).Overall, very happy after 4 months of occasional uses. Note - still on its 1st charge, so battery is good.

This was a gift for my 11 year old grandson who is very interested in science. When he opened his gift I knew I had picked out the perfect gift for him. His dad set it up in minutes and they watched the video together.They were on a mission to find bugs and interesting things to look at. This is a great microscope that my grandson is going to be able to learn and have a lot of fun with.

This is a great camera that's super fun to use but definitely is not high resolution in any way. The images look stunning on the cameras screen but when you upload the photos to your computer or phone you can see how pixelated they are. Still fun to play around with and discover the finer details of life.

Easy to use and works great for a simple digital microscope. Got it to introduce the microscopic world to my four year old but instead I use it to prove to him that no he does not have a splinter in his finger (it’s always dirt).

The person I bought it for loves it!!
