Works great with original stock
Works great with original stock. Got it to work with the 12 ga steady grip stock to with a little modding. The steady grip is slightly oversize as it's meant to fit a 12ga receiver and not the 20 ga though it does bolt up. I sanded it down till it was the same size as the original stock. The speedbead mounts to the steady grip using the 2 holes at 5 o'clock and 7 o'clock which the steady grip doesn't have so you will have to drill the holes in the steady grip. Overall it's a pretty simple mod.

Fits Benelli 20G Montefeltro perfectly
Installed on my 20G Montefeltro and it fit perfectly. I am using this with a ADE RD3 which also fits perfectly on the mount. I would highly recommend it.

Read the instructions, then read this.
This was put on a Benelli M2 12ga Field with compact stock. Read the CORRECT instructions before you start. The mount DOES fit. Here is what you need to know. First the whole thing is METAL, not plastic like some ignorant people have noted. Second, the PINS in the base are not welded, they MOVE with enough pressure. For the M2, I needed to REMOVE any foam pads (on the back wedge) and padding discs (on the bottom of the mount) that came installed. Yes, remove the Benelli drop shim (Z for me) and the cast shim (C-DX) for me. Then remove the plastic nipples and drill out the holes (11/64 bit) on the drop shim. Then put BOTH shims onto your stock then put the speed bead mount on. You will need to press firmly or, use a nylon or delrin tipped hammer to get the metal pins/base into the stock. Or use a separate piece of nylon/delrin/hard plastic as a punch with a heavier hammer. NOTE, there is NO GOOD/EASY WAY TO GET THE M2 STOCK onto the speed bead mount after the MOUNT is attached to the receiver. The recoil truss bar that extends into the stock won't allow it without scratching or worse gouging your stock. Hence, I mount speed bead and 2 shims to the stock. Then with another person holding the gun barrel down, align the speed bead pins with those in the receiver. Again it will take hammering the back end of the stock while holding the speed bead mount (and all shims between the speed bead mount and stock) aligned with the holes on the receiver. It is meant to be a TIGHT FIT into those receiver holes. NOTE, if you have to redo the installation, the metal pins may move out of the metal disk of the speed bead mount. It's not the end of the world. The installation definitely takes some time, patience, and for me, 2 people. For that I won't rate it highly. But it is difficult to make for a tight solid fit (which it is when done right on my M2) since it gets complicated and could require 2 people. The good thing is no MAJOR mods to my gun were needed. Plastic drop and cast shims from Benelli are replaceable and cheap.

Great mount
Put this on my Franchise Affinity 3.5 to mount a Burris FastFire 4. Installed easily, works great.

Don’t buy for Binelli M2 2023 and newer
I gave this 1 star because zero stars was not an option. Benelli changed the M2 20 gauge for 2023 so the butt stock is different and the angle is wrong where the butt meets the receiver. This absolutely will not work for the Benelli M2 20 gauge of it is the new model that doesn’t have the kick off system butt stock. Burris should repackage this product to state those facts. These do work great on guns they are built for but not this gun since the changes were made to that model gun.
