good but not great
I put a 5 star cause the item is good but, it is extremely overpriced for what it is! flash will work good if the subject is within 5-6 ft the most, the light is not as powerful as they make it seem. there are definitely better options out there for less $$$. lets not talk about the trigger being ridiculously expensive as well!!great seller though!!

Solid light but know what you're looking for first
Love Rotolight, I just wish they would get the prices of their accessories down. This light is solid, just know the power you need before purchasing. This light will NOT help you in bright sunlight, it's not meant for that. But if you need a solid constant light that is also portable to throw on a camera this guy is great.I hope to get the Anova Pro 2 one day!

It does provide a very nice light and the temperature adjustment option is nice to ...
Not as much light as portrayed in marketing videos etc. This light WILL NOT battle the sun. This would be used as a "filler" light in outdoor lit environments. Does preform well in dark or dimly lit situations. It does provide a very nice light and the temperature adjustment option is nice to have. I do have some issues with this staying sycd to my shutter speed when used in flash mode or strobe mode. I have a SONY A6000 and a Godox Trigger and Receiver to communicate with it.

Not perfect
One thing I didn't notice was the lack of a rechargeable battery. Its in the description, but I didn't notice. And you can't just use regular AA batteries. You need special AA batteries. Other than than, the Neo is good.

too dim to do anything
way too dim to be a worthwhile for hardly anything. Perhaps if you do a close up still life, maybe usuable? but for what they were promoting (good for fashion shoot) is totally bogus.

Great for close up portraits
Not as bright as I thought it would be. it's great for close up portraits though..and Durable as heck! My daughter accidentally dropped it out of my bag and on to the concrete and it still worked! Also, if you had like 3 of them it will definitely light up a room.

This is great, and very useful
This has been very useful for me, doing photos at night especially. It's super sturdy--it fell off a light stand (my fault) and didn't break--only the batteries fell out.

It's great! Use the NiMH batteries, not Alkaline though. They're not kidding.
Love how small and bright it is and easy to place on different stands or mount to a camera. Sometimes I use it just as a fill light when I need to do a video call. Super versatile.
