Super strong
These magnets are industrial strength. Overkill for our brooms but we’ll keep them.

Very strong
We don’t have a ton of storage, so I bought these to the hold up put broom and dustpan on the side of our fridge. They are great, hold up very well, and don’t slide around. Highly recommend.

Weak magnets
These were very eeak, and it didn't matter how thick the metal was. Couldn't even hold a broom without sliding. I do not recommend at all.

Grip or magnet - Which is stronger
These work really well and the magnets are very strong also. Pulling my broom out can be a problem sometimes because the grip is stronger than the magnet. The holder will pull away from the metallic surface. Twisting it a little as I pull the handle out seems to help, but most of the time I have to remove the holder from the broom and replace it to the wall. I am hoping the grip will ease up with time.I like them, and that little issue won't stop me from using them but I do wish the holder's were more secure.

Make sure to check the thickness of your surface
I had planned to use these holders on the side of my utility cart to hold a shovel. Unfortunately, the magnetic hold isn't strong enough to hold a lightweight shovel when traversing rough ground, since after a couple of good jolts, the magnets let go. After reviewing the product web page, I noted that the user is cautioned the thickness of the surface you're attaching the magnets to must be at least 0.047 inches, which is a bit thicker than the thin sheet metal comprising the sides of my utility cart. While this caution isn't exactly hidden on the web page, it is easy to miss.I tried the magnets on some beefier metal, and they seemed a great deal more secure. so it seems, if the surface is too thin, you run the risk of either the hooks falling off as in my case, or being pulled off the wall when you try to remove your broom/shovel/whatever. So it is a good idea to assess how thick the metal is where you are intending to attach the hook. The clips are also too narrow to hold a normal shovel handle, but for a typical broom or mop handle, it seems to work fine. That said, I couldn't find any reference to the maximum shaft width on the web page. Both the issue with the surface thickness you're attaching the magnets to, as well as the narrow shaft width are both limitations that should be more prominently displayed on the web page to keep folks from ordering a product that won't be of any use to them. I took off one star for this. To be clear, if you are attaching the magnets to thick metal and only intend to hang a broom or mop, it seems like these hooks would work great. But if you have other ideas, you should probably keep looking.

Very handy!
I ordered this to use in the garage for brooms and it works well for that purpose. I put the holders on the freezer's side, making it easy to access the broom. I usually pull the broom and the holder off as a unit, because that is quicker than trying to pull the broom out of the magnetic handle clamp. I sweep with the magnet on the handle and then put it back on the side of the freezer. I have not had the broom fall off. I would not try to use this for a heavy shovel, but it would work great for a mop, cobweb duster, or other lightweight tool.

Solid product, works great!
These have a good, strong magnet and each will easily hold a broom or mop. I've gotten a few products from this company, all different types of magnetic holders, and every single one so far has been excellent. These have a nice grip claw that is easy to push a broom handle into and remove, and it stays put on a metal surface. Any normal broom or mop will work with this; I did try my heavier push broom with a 26" brush, and it held it up, but the handle slides through the grip due to the extra weight. However, when I put the holder high enough for the cap on the broom handle to be at the holder height, it held the broom up just fine.

Magnetic, yes; super-strong, no
The magnet will hold the weight of a broom, but does come off the surface unless you hold the roller with a thumb. It’s easy to flex the clipping piece to allow for a bigger handle, one that will not come off when pulled. I tried it with my 5 lb sledge, and the magnet did not slide at all. Ready to use out of the box otherwise - no assembly required.
