SLUMBER CLOUDEssential Mattress Pad King

Got this several weeks ago. Made of great quality fabrics/materials. It does not move around like regular latex or plastic backing. Keep in mind this is not waterproof. This fit perfectly on my side of the bed. My husband and I have a split king, which means we both have twin XL bed. Again perfect fit. Now for the cooling part….ehhhhh maybe just a bit cooler, I say that because I am a hot sleeper. All in all I would buy another one if my husband wanted one for his side.

I purchased the Slumber Cloud essential mattress pad in king size back on April 28 2023, receiving it on May 3rd.It was purchased for the obvious and intended purpose to sleep cooler.After trying it for 10 days, I decided to request a return as it did not perform the intended outcome even minimally.On May 13 I requested and promptly received a return authorization from Slumber Cloud. On May 15 I paid and sent via UPS for the return of the mattress pad. The shipment was received by Slumber Cloud on May 17.I contacted Slumber Cloud via the Amazon app on June 12 with no response. I contacted them again on June 17 and received the following response:"YOUR CONVERSATION WITHSlumber CloudJun 17, 2023 9:39 AMToday, June 17, has been one month since Slumber Cloud received the returned product and I have had no information regarding a refund. I wonder if one has to wait 60 nights for a refund as well.I caution anyone making purchases from Slumber Cloud.

This mattress pad seems of good quality and is plush. However, I can't detect much of a cooling effect. Also, the stretchy material that secures it onto the mattress is so stretchy that the mattress pad tends to bunch up.

We used this for our winter home in FL mattress. As we are only here 6 months, we didn’t want to invest in a new mattress. This mattress of help us containing mattress to be covered and gives comfort.

So, yeah, this pad really does have a cooling effect initially. But like the majority of non-mechanical cooling products out there, its effectiveness is limited. If you don't move around much while sleeping, then the pad loses it's ability to keep you cool because it's not able to release the heat it has absorbed. Of course, if the goal of the pad is to keep you cool so that you AREN'T moving around while sleeping, well... you see where I'm going with this?To be fair, this pad is going to be perfect for some people, but I'm not one of them. If you've found relief with any "cooling" mattresses in the past, then this pad may also be helpful for you. But if you've realized that any mattress or topper made with any kind of foam (memory, latex, etc.) = a hot night (and not in a fun way), do yourself a favor and get a fan that goes under the sheets or a liquid filled mattress pad, or anything else that either physically moves cool air across your body or draws heat away from it. It's what I finally did after trying every other pad, topper, and mattress type out there, and I just wish I would have done it sooner.

I was so looking forward to the cooling effect of this not inexpensive mattress pad. Not only does it not cool, but it sleeps hotter than the memory foam mattress I have now, SO DISAPPOINTED.

I have been using this mattress pad for a few months now and I love it. I have a memory foam mattress and it holds so much heat in. This mattress pad is a nice barrier between me and the mattress pad and has helped reduce the heat so much. I'm never going to sleep without a mattress pad on my bed again. Would definitely buy again.

I have been using this mattress pad for about 9 months. In that time it has completely fallen to pieces. I have used it lightly and followed manufacturer's instructions to a tee. The entire top surface has pilled off into something that looks like a bunch of spiderwebs. It's completely worthless now as a mattress mad.I reached out to customer support and they told me "sorry, you're outside of your 60 day return window - sleep well!".I'm so mad I paid $200 for a junk product. That could have been half the price of a new mattress. I was sure this company would stand behind their products, but clearly it's just a money grab.Buyer beware.
