Great for the price!
I have some older licensed replicas, but didn't want to spent a whole bunch of money to obtain more for items that will essentially just be displayed on a shelf. I always wanted Luke's ROTJ hilt, and this provided a nice, inexpensive alternative. Just get some glue, sandpaper, needlenose pliers, and some paint, and you're set!I rolled the midpiece in the paint to get the edges. Worked fine even if it's not perfect. These are very lightweight and aren't durable. But they are perfect for a shelf display and look pretty neat next to licensed replicas! It was also fun to build.

Exactly As Advertised
I got exactly what I expected, which is a good thing. Received it in the mail fairly quickly (earlier than expected). Was delighted to see the maker, 3D Cauldron, is located very close to where I was born and raised in West Virginia. The pieces are exactly what I expected from a 3D printed object. I got all the pieces and they all fit together well.A few things to know:-the maker's website notes that the best option to make it perfectly smooth is to buy a resin coating and cover it and go from there. Now, I have never done anything like that and wasn't really willing to bite it off at this point (what if I mess it up? The resin is more expensive than the lightsaber. etc), so I opted to go with hand sanding. I did a decent job and someone willing to put in some more work should be happy.-Most of the major seam lines are easy to sand down to the point they are not visible. Just have to stay at it. I shaved mine down a little with an Exact-o knife and then sanded.-I used sandable primer and that helped fill in a lot of the natural grooves from 3D printing. Some of the things you can go extra thick on with it to help.-The parts are broken up in a way that makes them logical for painting (meaning, the control module's silver, black, and gold parts are separate, making them easy to spray paint and assemble later).-Painting the silver rings on the black portion is very hard. I did a similar attempt as another reviewer where I put the silver paint on a flat surface and rolled it through it. The results left a lot of hand painting to clean up. Mine looks...OK. From 3 feet away, it looks fine. In your hand really staring, less so. I'm still happy, but beware that part of painting will be the biggest challenge by far.

Thin Neck Snapped At Base Of Emitter
First off, LOVE this kit. Very accurate to film prop and great for display or cosplay. While assembling the kit the copper colored neck piece snapped off in the bottom of the emitter piece. Luckily, it was a clean break. I was able to superglue it back in place, albeit just a tiny smudge crooked. Overall, very satisfied. Already ordered the Kyle Katarn saber.

Great for the price, and fun to build
This item makes a super great prop, and is a good price.Just note that you should get super glue before building this. Instructions can be found on 3D Cauldron’s website. It’s pretty easy to make

Very Accurate Luke ROTJ Hero Lightsaber!
This is a very accurate representation of the Luke Hero lightsaber. The dimensions and detail are spot on. The kit is easy to assemble and very fun to paint and weather. A very satisfying project.

Excellent crisp 3D printed model
Excellent crisp 3D printed model. The parts have well designed connection points and fit together well. Very good qualtiy on the printing. There are a couple of cleanup points (the hole for the belt clip and the thumb button) but I did these in a few seconds with a hobby knife and sandpaper. No big deal. I'm looking foward to building and displaying this model once I'm done.
