Great stuff!
My toddler daughter loves this so much that we ended up needing a second. She panics if we put it in the dishwasher or doesn't have it with her lol only this one specifically... she could care less about others! Almost 100% leakproof... sometimes you get a couple of drops from the straw, probably if there was water sucked up but not ingested.

Great starter straw cup!
My little one absolutely loves this cup and learned how to first use a straw with this. Easy to drink from, durable (it has hit the ground countless times) and easy to clean. It will bubble up when the liquid gets warm.

Baby Loves It, But Some Downsides
My baby absolutely loves the Dr. Brown's Milestones Baby's First Straw Cup! It was an easy transition from a bottle, and the soft silicone straw is gentle on gums and great for little hands learning how to sip. The handles are perfectly sized, and my baby took to it right away — it quickly became our go-to cup for water and milk. That said, there are a couple of drawbacks. It does tend to leak if it tips over or is shaken (which, let’s be honest, happens constantly with a baby). Also, the silicone straw stains pretty easily — especially if your baby eats or drinks anything with color (like purees or juice). Even after thorough washing, the straw holds onto some of those stains. Despite those minor issues, we still use it daily because of how much our baby enjoys it. Just something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a leak-proof or stain-resistant option. Overall, a great starter straw cup!

Intricate design: a tad difficult to use/clean. But effective and worth it!
I bought this sippy cup in June of 2026. After a few months, I am ready to write a review. Easy to use? Let me start with some initial thoughts. The suction In the straw was so powerful when I first got it that my baby couldn’t sip any water out of it. I tried as well and it took a great deal of effort. I had to ChatGPT it to figure out how to get water through. So while it didn’t work right away, dr. Brown’s cup is now usable. It’s also easy for my child to grab with little handles that can be removed. It is light weighted and yet big enough for his little hands to grab. Easy to clean? The straw design is intricate to keep it leak proof. That being said, I noticed the inside getting dirty and was concerned I wouldn’t be able to clean it properly. However, dr. Browns design prevailed. With a straw cleaner one is able to get into every little crevice of the straw. And this brand provides a straw cleaner if I remember correctly. Leak proof: while the cup is designed to be leak proof, recognize that water in the upper part of the straw does come out if your child shakes the cup. However, there is a flap you can use to cover the straw to keep it completely sealed. It is durable, except for maybe the logo on the cup, which has started to fade with be try little effort. So my assessment: this sippy cup probably isn’t as easy to use as your everyday average sippy cup. However, the results are worth it. My child was drinking from this straw around 6-7 months old. It keeps him from getting soaked, and he can pick it up himself. I believe it is Worth the money for the value. My reasoning for 4 (and I would do 4 1/2 if I could) stars is there were no instructions on what to do if the straw’s suction was too strong to make it unusable for a baby. I had to go to outside resources for that.

Look no further for a toddler cup
These cups are our absolute favorite! We got them for our son when he was done with bottles at a year old. They are easy to clean, travel really well. They hold up very well to being thrown and dropped. We have 6 of them and they are all still going. We have had them for 8 months. We also have the insulated version that we fill will ice water on the warmer months. We use them for both milk and water.

Does Not Work, Will probably regret buying it
This product is not good - don't purchase it. Over-engineered and took a simple problem and came up with an overly complex solution to solve it. I did based on many 5-star reviews and bought 3 cups, so this wasn't a one-off problem. Issues: 1 - The cups LEAK multiple ways. And I watched all the how-to videos and tiktoks thinking I missed something. I didn't. The second your toddler drops this cup on the floor its gonna splash milk/juice/etc. on the floor. If you tighten the lid too much liquid comes out the straw via cappilary action when its just sitting on a surface. If you dont shove the small parts together tight enough it leaks around the straw. If you don't pull the straw through the lid properly, it leaks. If you tip the cup upside down (because remember how if you screw it too tight liquid leaks up the straw?) it leaks around the edges. We have not found a way to not have this bottle leak. 2 - Remember how you have to jam the parts together REALLY tight so the straw won't leak? Well that also makes it very very difficult for your toddler to suck liquid through the straw. My daughter stopped drinking her milk at daycare and I didn't understand why, figured out that this bottle was so hard to suck that she would get tired and give up. Yipes! 3 - There are many small parts that need to be handwashed. As a busy mom this is not ideal. Overall, urge you to get a Nuk or Camelback or Munchkin cup instead - same result just better product.

Good First Cup for Baby- Not Great for Older Baby/Toddler
UPDATE: I had to update my review because, while this is a good first cup for smaller babies, it's not great for older ones. My daughter is now one and struggles with the suction (or lack thereof) of the straw. I noticed she doesn't get much water and then would get frustrated and throw the cup. She always tries to drink from my Stanley instead. I took a sip from her cup myself and it's extremely hard to get any water through the straw, you have to suck insanely hard. This was good while it lasted (it's pretty leak-proof), but not the right cup for my daughter anymore. I purchased this for my daughter as her first drinking cup when she was around 9 months old. It did not take her long at all to figure it out and to drink water from it. It's the first and only one we've used, and I'm very happy with it! I've ordered three so far. It's easy to put together, okay to clean (it's not amazing cleaning the tiny straw, but it does come with a little brush), and it's almost completely leak-free. A little bit of water comes out sometimes, but my daughter does throw it pretty hard down on the floor from her highchair and likes to bang it on tables. It takes a while to dry, so I do put it in our sanitizer which also dries things. I'd be wary about mold if the parts stayed wet for too long, but have not experienced that yet. It's held up well so far and it's great that she can drink from it laying down if she wants. I think that will come in handy when we wean her off bottles and she exclusively uses cups. A great cup all around, I definitely recommend! If you're on the fence, just give it a try! Luckily they're pretty inexpensive.

Serves the purpose but a lot of cons
Problem I had with this item: 1. It leaks 2. The inner ball doesn’t quite come up when my toddler lies down, making it difficult to drink since it mentions that the inner straw moves as the baby changes positions but it doesn’t. Only okay when they are standing or in an upright position 3. Milk pours out when you try to open the lid making it messy. I only kept it because I urgently needed a sippy cup or else this would have been a return

Nice bottle
Really nice bottle, strong material, leak proof, easy to was, just pay attention that the straw has 3 parts that pull apart so you can clean it properly. The weighted straw is not following the liquid as it’s saying in the description, you need to move the bottle a not to get where you need to go, reason for 4 stars. Otherwise it’s a good bottle!

Great first cup for baby
Great little cup for getting baby started with drinking water! It contains the water, so I don’t have to worry about spills. One thing- you can adjust the straw flow by pushing in/or moving out the piece that connects to the sipping bit. We were initially confused because the water wasn’t coming out easily from the straw, and then we did the adjustment and it’s working great!

Order more than one!
I bought this little cup to help my 6-month-old start learning how to drink independently, and it has been such a great addition to our feeding routine. The size is perfect for tiny hands, and the handles make it easy for her to grab and hold on her own. We’ve used it for water with meals, and I love that it holds just enough without being bulky. The markings on the side are also helpful for keeping track of how much she’s drinking. So far it’s been easy to clean, and the lid fits securely without leaking all over the place. My favorite part is that it encourages independence while still being manageable for a beginner. If you’re starting your baby on cups and want something simple, lightweight, and easy for little hands to use, this one is definitely worth trying. Great value and gets used every single day in our house!
