I researched about a dozen dehumidifiers before choosing this one for my 14' x 16' office. I needed something small but effective, since my office is in my basement and I live in a very humid environment.Here were the most important decision points for me, and how they turned out. I've been using this for about a month now.1. Perfect tank sizeMost others I reviewed were nearly half the size. I felt the typical ~30oz was too small, but 62oz was ideal. In a basement that regularly reaches 60+% RH, I expected to need a larger tank. After running it for a month, I think I've emptied it 3 times. That's perfect for me.2. Quiet mode and sound ratingI planned to place this near my desk and feet, and was concerned about the noise being disruptive. I liked the idea of a quiet mode. After using it, I will say that it is a little loud to me being under my desk, but it doesn't interfere with my work day. Quiet mode is great, and I only wish that was the noise level of the default mode. Overall I'm still happy with it.3. Emptying procedureI was also looking for a dehumidifier that was easy to empty by hand. When I got this unit, I really liked how I didn't have to remove any latches or disconnect anything. The tray easy slides out and clicks back into place. The cover has two ports that you can empty from, but it's better to take the cover off and dump the tank. The quality of the tank is decent, too. The cover feels like thin ABS but the tank itself is very sturdy.Overall I really like this unit and I'm happy with my purchase.

I used this for 10 days so far. It took a few days to realize that there was a low setting and a higher one if I tap the button twice. I haven't tested the difference between the low and the high setting, but it seems like the higher setting is a tiny bit more powerful.For a small humidifier though, this has been helpful reducing the humidity in a small NYC apartment. I have primarily been using it in my bedroom on a more humid day so that it's drier by the time I go to bed. I like the fact that I can easily take apart the water container and clean it, which was not the case for a smaller one I returned a few months ago. This also collects water faster than the smaller one I returned.This will not remove humidity drastically like my full sized dehumidifier, which is perfectly okay with me. I bought it because it looked sleeker, does not take up as much space, or generate a crazy amount of heat.A qualm I have is that sometimes it's hard to turn off. Sometimes I end up changing the setting from low to high rather than actually turning it off because I haven't gotten the hang of the button. That's a pretty minor issue as I have been able to use it fine.

This is a small room dehumidifier so you need to adjust expectations accordingly.We have a small bathroom without any operating windows (just transoms). It is small enough that there is no room on the floor to add a standing dehumidifier so countertop it was. We placed this on the vanity and it does indeed keep that mirror from fogging up in the general vicinity of the mirror. As far as cutting the humidity in the bathroom altogether....maybe not so much. We keep a humidistat in the rooms so we can see the humidity climb in the bathroom to 80% +/- after a shower - and maybe 6 hours later, with the door shut, it goes to maybe 70-72 %. So depending on what you are hoping to achieve, this will either work or it won't.On the plus side, it is quiet. Easy to empty.Note: I do find the changing light color to be annoying. Have not found a way to change that.
