Good value and versatile.
Had a few different types over the years but this product is definitely the best I’ve used. I do a lot of soldering and brazing in tight spots and this is the easiest to use and has a hole to wrap around pipes. Great value for the money. Perfect size and weight.

Easy to use - gets the job done
Good welding blanket - I really like the cutout to make it easy to position around a pipe. It has snaps to hold the blanket together after you place it over the pipe. The material is a bit thin for my liking - it doesn't seem very heavy duty. But I did use it for a project that required about 20 soldered joints close to a wall and the blanket did its job just fine - no damage to the wall at all. The blanket did smoke a bit the first few blasts with the torch, but then I guess the flammable bits burned off and it worked fine after that. After my project, I noticed the blanket started to tear a little bit at the hole. It can still be used just fine, and I only needed it for the project, but I wish it was a bit thicker and heavier duty feeling.

These are great - the center hole & slit down the side make them easier to use!
These are great - definitely an upgrade over the solid rectangle heat shield mats. I had 2 Oatey branded ones and they worked fine, no issues with handling the heat...just was a pain to position them if you had to block a wall or framing that was perpendicular to the pipe. The hole in the middle of these isn't too big, and since there are 2 of them, you can easily use the 2 together, stacked slightly offset to one another, to get full coverage of the surface you're trying to protect. The Oatey ones that were all solid could also be combined in an attempt to block the left and the right side behind a pipe, BUT without the center hole, I had a hard time trying to overlap them to have them cover the full 360 degrees around the pipe diameter. Now in all seriousness, this was not a huge issue haha, and you can always make the solid heat shield work one way or another, it's just a little bit easier with this style that has the hole in the center. If you're planning on soldering any plumbing pipes, you'll definitely want to have 2 (or 3, or 4) of these on hand to protect the subsurface from the heat of the torch. I recommend starting with this center-hole style, then pick up another fully-solid one as an auxiliary. You'll easily save whatever total $ you spend on these when you DIY your plumbing. If you're a new plumber and need to stock up on basic tools, I'd spend your own $ if needed to ensure you have these on hand...a few seconds of aiming the acetylene (or MAPP) torch in the wrong direction and you've got a big headache to deal with when explaining to the customer why xxx got burned, etc.
