Amazon Basics Cactus Cat Scratching Triple Posts with Dangling Ball, Large, 27", Green

Cute little cactus themed scratching post that didn't take long for at least two of my three cats to start enjoying. I've found them using the tallest two posts, but everyone has thus far ignored the tiny round nub at the bottom, as well as the ball on a too-short string on top.Was easier to assemble than many other scratching posts, yet seems as durable as any.

The setup took about 15 minutes. The holes in the platform are predrilled. You just need the screws and an allen wrench to construct it, which are included.My cat is almost 15 years old and he's had many scratching posts over the years, so he knew exactly what to do as soon as he saw it. Catnip helps if your cat is wary. I've also found that scratching the post with MY fingernails plants the idea in my cat's head.My cat hasn't used the carpeted ball and, tbh, I'm not sure if it's there for anything but decoration. There's also a toy on an elastic string that's connected to the top of the cactus, but the string is so short that my cat never notices it. It's kind of useless.The carpet is a little cheap, but the structural design is sturdy. My cat hasn't knocked it over even with the most vigorous of scratches, probably because the platform is wide and heavy enough to keep it from tipping.

The media could not be loaded.  With 5 cats in the house, scratching posts are absolutely essential! Like most cats, mine were very interested from the start as soon as I opened the box! They helped examine all the pieces as I unpacked everything. The directions, allen wrench and all hardware was included in a plastic ziplock bag and honestly, I don't even think it took a full 5 minutes to assemble this--it was so easy! I wish I could upload more than 1 video to show you how my cats played with this, but they only allow one.My cats have really been enjoying this cactus scratching post so far. I like that the bottom has an edging of carpet around it to protect the floor. I also like that there is both carpet/rug and sisal rope on the posts. I only have adult cats (no kittens) so I'm not sure if they'll actually use the smaller, ball shaped cactus on the ground, we'll see. The height seems like a good height for a variety of different sized cats. The circular base is a nice size as it doesn't take up alot of floor space, yet it provides enough room so they could lay around the edge of it if they wanted to. I will say I definitely don't think the elastic cord that the ball hangs from is long enough though--needs to be longer! Lastly, I'm not sure if they glued the sisal rope or if it's just stapled, but at the ends of it, you can see the staples, hence the reason for only 4 stars. I really hope they're secured enough and won't be pulled out. This is aesthetically pleasing, and I hope the quality lasts for a while.

This is a short scratcher, not quite thigh height but both my kitten and the cats thought it was a lot of fun. It was easy to assemble and it's definitely adorable all together. What I like most is this is great for corners, it looks decorative but gives them more to interact with in the space.

my cat doesn't seem super interested in this scratching post at the moment but hopefully he will come around. It was pretty easy to put together and is good quality. The cactus is cute and would fit in most decor.

This "Amazon Basics Cactus Cat Scratching Triple Posts with Dangling Ball" looks pretty crazy (it's three CACTI!).I got the biggest, 27" tall version.It needed a little bit of assembly, but, it went together in just a couple of minutes, with only a glance at the instructions.It seems like it's pretty well constructed, and, not particularly flimsy,once you tighten the bolt down on the big fender washer.(Insert the bolt with the washer through the hole that goes between the two halves).The bass platform is made out of basic particle board.It doesn't seem to be too "tippy".It's got some kinda weird carpet-stuff on it, the "cactus" bits... I don't know what it is, actually... it's "different".It also has the sisal rope wrapped around the scratching tubes, like they do with these kinda things,so, I think that it should hold up well, with time and use.It just arrived, and, I've set it up on the screen porch, but, so far, the cats haven't been using it, yet... I guess we'll see.So far, I, the human, like the "Amazon Basics Cactus Cat Scratching Triple Posts with Dangling Ball".But, I'll have to update my review, when I see whether the CATS LIKE it, or not...It's definitely a unique product...

My cats were excited about this from the moment I took the pieces out of the box.It was super easy to put together and only took maybe 5 minutes from unboxing to the finished product.As you can see in the photo, they started scratching as soon as it hit the floor!I love it too. It's nice when I can find cute scratchers that look more like quirky decor and less like a boring carpet-covered pole.It feels nice & sturdy and comes with everything needed to assemble it.We are all really happy with it so far!

Scratching post was really easy to assemble, took less than 5 minutes. The scratching post seems to have a light woodsy scent. My cats love this thing. So far it seems to be holding up nicely and is getting lots of use. Would absolutely recommend.

Questo tiragraffi oltre a essere veramente bello esteticamente si monta davvero in 3 minuti e i gatti lo hanno subito apprezzato tantissimo. Prende poco spazio e si sposa benissimo con l'ambiente essendo diverso dai soliti tiragraffi. I miei gatti amano stirarsi contro il paletto in corda, giocare con la pallina in cima e farsi le unghie, lo utilizzano davvero molto spesso durante la giornata. Il materiale è sisal naturale e moquette, molto resistente devo dire, avendo tre gatti è ancora in ottime condizioni dopo ormai un mese. Non si ribalta e regge molto bene anche quando sono particolarmente euforici. L' altezza è di circa 70 centimetri più o meno, lo consiglio!

I love how quirky this cat scratching tree is.It was very easy to put together and my cat loves to use it.It might not suit every decor but it's a bit kitch and so I can't help but loving it.

Estéticamente no me ha gustado mucho. Hay otro de la misma marca que tiene un sólo poste más gordito que este y que queda mucho mejor. He probado los dos y mi gata la verdad es que no hace distinción entre uno y otro, así que sabiendo que los dos cumplen su función... si tengo que elegir, elijo el otro por estética.En cuanto al rascador como tal está bien, es estable y tiene bastante superficie rascable. Ahora bien, el principal problema que tiene (y que también tiene el otro que os comento) es que la parte de arriba de los cactus no es de cuerda y, por tanto, no la pueden rascar así que se quedan un poquito bajos. Depende de cómo le guste a vuestro gato rascarse vais a tener más o menos problemas con ellos. La mía por ejemplo se estira mucho hacia arriba y estos le quedan un poquito bajos. Como tiene otro mucho más alto no es algo que me preocupe mucho, pero no me lo quedaría si fuese el único para tener en casa.Espero que os sea útil mi opinión!

The item came very fast and was easy to build it. This cactus scratching post looks really cute and my cats love it.As soon as I set it up, they were curious and atarted playing on it. They now are using both of the long posts as a scratching post, and also sometime they play with the little ball that's on top. As for the big ball on theside not that much. It would have been great the the ball material was also similiar to the scratching post, so the cats would scratch there also.The quality also seems okay, and is stable. For this price point I really recommend this.

Nous avons testé ce griffoir à chat et il a à la fois conquis nos chats et leurs co-habitants. ;-)+++ Le montage se fait simplement, la notice étant bien expliquée et les 'outils' fournis.++ notre minette l'a trouvé à son goût et a griffé les deux poteaux dés qu'on lui a montré.+++ bonne stabilité de l'arbre griffoir++++ pour nous, c'est le premier griffoir/arbre à chat qui se fond dans le décor végétalisé du salon. C'est dire si on est ravis!-Une petite odeur légère venait de l'arbre. Après une nuit au garage, elle a disparu.En conclusion: ce griffoir à deux poteaux remplit bien sa fonction- surtout auprès de notre minette d'intérieur plus que de notre grand, qui sort dehors- et en plus d'être abordable, il est beau. 5 étoiles sans hésitation.
