Good quality timer for immersion heater
Easy to install and it was worth paying the extra over a similar alternative which I had already tried and was not working consistently. This is now saving us money whilst the gas central heating is off over the summer.

straight forward timer switch that just works
After dabbling with more complex digital and wifi timers I wanted to go back to something more straight forward - that would just work correctly. This switch did the job. Very clear wiring instructions and simple to setup.Switching the timer from 'always off' to 'always on' may not be the robust slider and in my view will likely fail over too much use - but if its a timer switch you want, then leaving the switch position in timer mode is simple. The easy-to push/ click out timer activation is much more reliable.

Timer switching did not work
This timer had to be returned after wasting a lot of my time because it did not switch on/off in the auto position. I tried rotating the dial manually as well as with the motor and it failed to operate the switch contacts.

Caution - do NOT rely on the TimeGuard guarantee. Item failed - TimeGuard don't want to know.
Item failed (timer switch broke) within the 3 year warranty. The seller didn't really want to know about it. Amazon (whose customer service I find is brilliant) have been very helpful, but advise they are powerless as once the unit is over two years they are forbidden to intervene - directing me to TimeGuard and TimeGuard have ignored my approach for this to be rectified under their warranty. I am hugely disappointed, and quite frankly feel cheated by TimeGuard and uncared for by the Seller. Amazon as always have done their bit and helped in any way they can.

Fitted and forgotten
I needed a time switch that was flush fitting, wires into the back of it through stud wall, no other way of doing it unless I had a "normal type switch and cables across the floor to the appliance. Feeding the wires under the floor, then up the inside of studding caused for some imaginative tricks, but with some cords, bamboo stick a mirror and lamp the wires were run through. Switch works well, simple traffic light control and 15 minute on /of set up when on timer. A good bit of kit

A great timer
This timer is easy to install and unlike some cheaper ones on the market has a very easy to use on/off/time switch in the center.This is the second one of these I have installed
