I cut opal as a hobby, and you have to have a gem light so you can see the inside of the opal to find out if there are any inclusions, cracks, or sand pockets on the inside. I had another brand, but it required a battery that doesn’t exist anywhere else. I found this one that’s rechargeable and has so many different light color options, AND all the colors dim too. The battery lasts FOREVER, and the lights are so powerful you can see straight through opal with it on the lowest brightness. The black light is especially nice and strong, sometimes I lose an opal and it makes it so easy to find them. And is easier on the eyes, but can still shine through the opal. I can’t recommend this light more to anyone who does intricate lapidary. It is a MUST HAVE! Just be careful not to shine it in your eyes, it’s very powerful.

I have used it for a few months now and it works great. The battery lasts a very long time and there's an indicator letting you know the battery level. It is USB charging. There are several lightbulbs to choose between so it depends what you need it for.I use it for looking for glowing glass so I really only use the 395 and 365 black light and they both work well. It was hard to find a light that has both. Its a little long for my preference but it still usually fits in my pants pocket. I discovered you don't have to click through all of the modes to turn it off just simply click the button on the reverse side once and it will turn off. Helpful to know if you're turning off and on a lot.Very happy with my purchase.

I have had this light for awhile. Holds a good charge although as time goes on needs more frequent charge. Light is extremely bright, however now it seems the red "bulb" never goes off. It's not shining but the red light is visible at all times. This happened after several months of use. Still works wonderfully otherwise.

The battery life is fantastic. Options for colors are solid. I like the three levels of UV. I also like that the brightness level can be fine adjusted.If it had a mode to alternate yellow and white light continuously, then it would be perfect.

Each end of the light has three lights each with a high and a low, but you can also infinitely dim the high by holding the button down. I use this feature often. I really like this light.

Worked great at 1st but now won't charge after the 3rd time using. One light color stopped working as well.
