This is a wonderful supplement
This is something that every dog should have in their diet. It's such an important supplement. All of my dogs love it. Every single one of them ate their food without any objections. I can't talk about efficacy yet , because it will need to be used for a good while longer. Like the pump, makes it so much easier to add to the food

Has a kind of fishy scent, so for my cat no problem
My cat was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease a few years ago now. Since that time, he has been on the special prescription food, but I always want to try to do more. In the past, I have used this same company's Kidney Restore powder which is basically probiotics. So, when I saw this version with omega 3s I decided to give it a try. I know omega 3s are good for me and take a daily flax seed pill so it should be a good supplement for him, right? At least that is my reasoning. Plus, the stuff I've read says omega 3s are supposed to be good for cat's kidneys.First if you didn't notice, this is an oil that you squirt, drip, or pour onto the animal's food. Since I only give my guy a spoonful of wet food at a time, I just dribbled a little on his food each time. It does have dose amounts on the side of the bottle based on body weight and number of pumps. My guy is little so half a pump would do so I think with the dribbles each time he gets a spoonful throughout the day will add up to about right. The packaging came very well done with the bottle being sealed into a bag and even double wrapped which I appreciate. In the past when I have ordered other liquids sometimes things happen, and they leak. This did not but it was safely contained if it had. They also included a few sheets of an informational printout about kidney disease which even though I have already read most of that somewhere else, it was good information. As others have said in their reviews, it does have a bit of a fishy smell, but I kind of expected that. You get omega 3s from either fish oil or flax seed and I assumed since its cheaper and more appealing to animals to go with the fish. I personally take the flax seed version for my supplement to avoid the fishiness, especially the fishy burps. I could understand though how some dogs might not like the fishy smell, but I think most cats won't have a problem with it. But as with any new food introduction start small and gradually increase to the proper dosage over a few weeks. My cat didn't seem bothered if he even noticed the smell of this over the fishy tuna smell of his food. Now to the big question, does it really do anything? That I don't know. I still have the same question about their other product the Kindey Restore, which by the way is a powder that smells more bacony and not fishy. The other product didn't seem to affect my cat's numbers at the vet or anything else noticeable. Do I think it didn't work, not necessarily, but I also know it didn't hurt. And I guess that is why I am ok with trying this. I want to do what I can for my cat so if he doesn't mind eating it and it doesn't make things worse, I'm ok with it. The product is reasonably priced, so the cost isn't much over the life of the bottle and if it does help even a little bit, then great.

Good quality and value.
I have tried several products to try to help my cat with her urinary issues. She regularly develops crystals in her urinary system and it causes pain, bleeding and frequent urination. Since using this product, her symptoms have greatly improved and she no longer requires frequent trips to the veterinarians office. This is an amazing product and it has saved me a lot of money.

Cat Didn't Like it
I tried several times to apply it to my cats food, but she wouldn't eat the food.

Strong smell, but my cat seems to like it fine
Hooooo does this stuff have a strong gross odor. I mean, i expected it to, but wow my cat is gross. I've been mixing half a pump of this into her wet food since she is an older kitty and blood work is showing we might be on the cusp of kidney issues. I haven't been using it for too long, so can't really say whether or not it's truly doing anything, but my grumpy little old lady likes it just fine, and I know that fish oil is generally supposed to be good for kitties. We have a check up with the vet in a month, so I'll keep using it and will discuss with the vet when we go in and see what they say. But I can definitely see how some pets might not take to this. So glad mine has since half a pump per serving means this bottle is lasting me for ages! Thankfully, the bottle contains the smell otherwise!

My Dogs Won't Even Try It...
I have two small dogs that are getting older and can benefit from supplements to sustain their health. This one, however, is so offensive to them that they will not even take a courtesy lick of it. I have tried it in kibble, treats, and various ways to present it with the same result... Nope! So, although the product may be a good idea in theory, the delivery of this is very unsatisfactory to my own pets - both of them.

Good so far
Omega 3 is a recommended supplement for dogs with kidney disease, and this supplement contains a mix of fish oils to provide that. It is a deep orange color and the smell is mild. My dog has a sensitive GI tract, and cannot tolerate most oils, so I started with about a drop daily, and very slowly working up to more. So far it has been well-tolerated. It comes with a pump, but I have never used it, and just pour right from the bottle into a spoon.
