If you've got large profile temple tips or have a flared out ear piece, then this retainer is not going to work for you. It is likely to split open whilst trying to snug them on the flare. Product works great. I live in Wisconsin so I only need to wear my Costas a few months out of the year compared to when I lived on the gulf. So I don’t get as quick of wear as I did before, seem to have held up just fine for the past year. Much better than the Cwire one that didn’t relax at all. However my only issue is because I am a female and I have long hair. I wanted an all black keeper and minimally noticeable, since having glasses around your neck isn’t as trendy up here and I just look like an old lady doing my own thing. This was the only Costa brand keepers that was simple and solid black that I could find. The other, Fathom, I’m looking to purchase just has loops so I’m hesitant in it’s keeping ability. So I tried this style. And it is not easy to just throw the strap over my head, pull my hair over it without it getting stuck in my hair and if I’m wearing too many coats during winter it has so much friction when I go to turn my head driving it pushes my sunglasses off my head a little. They don’t allow enough movement with bulky clothes (which isn’t a problem on the beach) or hair that goes past you neck.

This silicone retainer arrived quickly, and it was priced at a fair number. I have installed it ironically on a pair of Costa sunglasses. We will see how long it lasts in the Florida sunshine, but I’m assuming the retainer will last longer than the sunglasses.
