Pros: 1. Beautiful sturdy brushes that hold paint well and are a joy to paint with. 2. They have great hand feel and comfortable weight to them. 3. They come in a nice sturdy beautiful leather pouch that makes them easy to transport and pack. I use them every time I paint whether traveling or not. 4. The barrel you insert the brush into is nice and wide so you don't run the risk of spreading the bristles. 5. They stay nice and secure when opened since they screw together as opposed to slip on. 6. They paint so smooth and clean. 7. The tip stays nice and sharp as well. 8. Fantastic value for the quality. Cons: NONE! I cannot speak to the professional quality of them as I am an intermediate watercolor painter and do not own super expensive brushes but I have used them almost daily since I purchased them and have had nothing but satisfaction for with these brushes. They really helped step up my game once I started using them. I wish there was a set of detail brushes like these available. I absolutely love painting with these brushes. Love them so much I bought two more sets with different size brushes!

Recently traveled out of state and wanted to take along some watercolor supplies for use while I was away. This brush set proved to be an excellent choice. Comes in a compact package, but don't let that fool you, as these are easy to "extend" and are quite durable. They are easy to hold, and the bristle quality is good.

Oh yeah-these are great brushes!!! I just received them a few hours ago, and I’m already using them on a painting. So far, the quill is amazing, and my favorite. They are soft as you would expect from squirrel and hold a lot of water, so you may have to adjust your water control if you’re used to synthetic brushes. These are great value for money, and I have a feeling they may become my studio regulars and not just travel brushes.

Nice set of watercolor brushes for travel or home. Soft with good points. Open and make a comfortable length brush. I love the little travel case. Some bristle shedding keeps me from giving 5 stars.

Oh my gosh I love these. They keep their form and hold a lot of water. i know I will be purchasing more of these for use in my home. Very very pleased. they fit well in the hand and are very balanced.

Really nice brushes, beautiful leather case. The brush covers convert into handles for the brushes, as in most travel brushes, but these screw on securely. Some others that just slide together tend to come apart while you're painting, which is very frustrating. The brush labeled "cat's tongue" (size 8) is what I call a filbert. There are also a No. 2 and No. 8 round and a No. 6 flat - nice selection. Excellent value.

I have now used these a few times and I should start by saying I am no professional but I paint a lot and typically use lines like Aqua Elite and silver brush black limited and neptunes. And I can say that these are not in that class. My biggest complaint is that they don’t hold enough water in them. Other issues I have had are that the bristles are still coming out and even as I try and reshape them when wet before stopping the cats tongue isn’t holding shape. I believe beginners need the best supplies for better success and more seasoned painters can do with less. But I just can’t get used to these. It seems like a nice entry level brand with some nice products. The build is very well made, the case is nice, but it is the brush I am not pleased with which is kind of the whole point

These are hands down the most fabulous brushes I have ever purchased. They are so convenient for travel painting and I also love that you can twist the lid off and twist on to the bottom so it extends the handle while also twisting off and onto the brush tip for protective storage. The biggest issue with brushes is taking proper care of them. That issue disappears with these. As a painter who uses a lot of different brushes for different mediums, these are great for use with acrylic, gouache, acrylic ink, and watercolour. They hold their shape exceptionally well. I would buy again.

A good size selection to cover general field watercolour painting. Nice real leather wallet and well made brushes. The set could easily pop into a shirt pocket! Recommended

I purchased this brush set primarily for my travels, as I enjoy drawing and sketching on the go. Overall, I'm impressed with the quality of three out of the four brushes in the set. They perform admirably, providing precise lines and smooth strokes, making them perfect companions for my artistic adventures. However, I encountered an issue with the fourth brush. Despite its promising design, the portion that screws into the brush doesn't stay in place as it should. This flaw becomes particularly problematic when I'm storing the brush away; it simply won't screw securely. Consequently, this brush's functionality is severely compromised, and it fails to meet the standards set by the rest of the set. While I appreciate the functionality of the majority of the brushes, the inconsistency in quality is disappointing. I hope the manufacturer addresses this issue to ensure that future buyers can enjoy a consistent and reliable product. In the meantime, I'll be contacting the seller to seek a resolution for the faulty brush.
