cleans good threads doesn't mend cross thread.
Great for clearing good threads NOT for cleaning up bad threads.

Great tool, buy it!
It got the job done without a hitch. I am sure the thread on the CAT is super hard, yet the tool did not get damaged. The thread cleaned on the CAT and the tool is just as good as when I unpacked it. Don't fall into Chinese knock-off crap, this tool is as good as an american made tool, at a fraction of the cost

Work great in tight spots.
I used this thread chaser to repair the threads on the o2 sensor on my S10 pickup. It worked great and saved me the nite mare of removing the exhaust to weld on a new bung. Great to keep around the shop.

Awesome tool - DON'T replace an O2 sensor without using this tool.
4 items saved me from having o take my car to the shop for O2 sensor replacement. These thread chasers are almost a necessity when doing an O2 sensor replacement - but them, They may be hard to start the threading but be patient and make sure not to cross-thread (should provide some resistance at first but will be pretty smooth once started - don't continue to thread if resistance is too great after getting it started - there will be some resistance all the way but not so much as you have to strain to get it to turn). The other tool that saved me was this wrench (almost required to get a stuck sensor out): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I6TBHE0?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 Also, highly recommend using high-temp anti-seize compound on both the chaser and sensor threads but use sparingly to not foul the sensor. The final tool I used was the traditional O2 sensor socket set. Good luck.

DO NOT BUY
Dry poor quality doesnโt do the job at all

Works and it's worth the price!
This worked for exactly what I needed it for - a lightly damaged O2 Sensor port. I don't know if it will fix a heavily damaged one, but it fixed mine! Seems to be pretty hard steel and does a great job cutting.

These will be essential soon
These are thread chasers, they clean and firm up existing inside threads. I wanted them to chase/clean my oxygen sensor holes when I swap them out. Doing this was highly recommended as a precaution. The logic makes sense. So I am prepared.
