Quality built tools worth it would recommend to buy

Fortunately this arrived the same day I realised a new rotor that I had ordered was slightly bent! Original bought for my old rotors I used it to true the new one. Worked a treat, you have to be patient and really spend time working out the bend. I bought it for straightening some old SRAM Centreline rotors which fit in the the larger slot but used it on a Sram HS2 rotor which only fits in the smaller slot, still did the job. I can see me using this a lot.

As we have come to expect from Park Tool, well built, and fit for purpose. I have used 3 times and with care, really does ‘trim’ rotor run out. But be careful while using.

Extremely easy to use. Just watched a couple of youtube videos and managed to get a cheap aliexpress disc straight in 2 minutes. More expensive than other options but the quality speaks for itself.

I see quite a few reviews for this tool and other similar ones where people state the gap is too thin for their rotors. Both Road and MTB rotors are the same thickness and I can validate this works for both my road bike using Shimano Ultegra RT800 Freeza rotors and Shimano XT SM-RT76 on my MTB and even some Tektro ones I had as well. Maybe the users have some odd thicker rotor but for 99% of all cases this tool is fine.

Park tools is one of the best manufacturers of bicycle tools in the world settled in America 🇺🇸 and is manufactured in USA so that why the price is a bit higher than cheaper tools but the quality is not comparable

The Park Tool DT-2 Rotor Truing Fork is a solid, heavy duty piece of hardware. Sure it’s a simple idea for a tool, but it’s well thought out & designed. The tool is cut from a thick piece of steel (0.25 inches [6.25mm]), much thicker than those that are priced for less. The balance point on the DT-2 is pretty d@mn close to the midpoint of the tool. Once you hold Park Tool’s truing fork, you’ll immediately understand the price difference. The thickness of the tool & tapered middle allows for a comfortable grip & placement of your thumb like you would when using a knife to whittle or do a push cut. This allows for a good deal of leverage. The plastic rubber wrap around the DT-2 also adds to the comfort & handling of the tool while using. If your bike has disc brakes & you perform basic maintenance on it yourself, the DT-2 is something you should have in your toolkit. Sure you can use a screwdriver, pliers, channel-locks, almost anything that you can wedge & use as a lever, but w/the right tool for the job, you won’t mar, scratch or damage things unnecessarily. If you run larger rotors (180mm+), then you really should have this in your kit. This tool will pay for itself many times over. Besides saving the cost of paying the shop to straighten or replace a bent rotor, you’ll be able to keep your rotors true to prevent unnecessary & excess wear on brake pads which would result more frequent replacement. On some of the tools I have purchased for my bike kit, I chose to go w/less expensive manufacturers other than Park Tool. I don’t have money to through away. However, there are some tools I feel are worth the extra money, either because of the impact on safety, frequency of use (longevity of tool) &/or possible damage to bike while using. The A rotor truing fork is one tool I feel meets all those requirements. Even if you decide the Park Tool DT-2 Rotor Truing Fork is not for you because of cost, I would recommend you pickup another truing fork to maintain your rotors. Inte mycket att säga här, använder den mer ofta för att böja andra metallbitar än bromsskivor. Bra kvalitet utan att vara överdriven i material.

Es una herramienta duradera como todas las Park Tool, cumple con su función, es muy fácil de usar, solo hay que acostumbrarse a ejercer la fuerza adecuada para no torcer mas los rotores.

Hallo, Ich habe mir dieses Richtwerkzeug gekauft, um meine Scheibenbremsen wieder gerade zu machen. Dies funktioniert sehr gut. Die Qualität für Park Tool ist wie immer sehr gut. Ich finde trotzdem, dass der Preis doch recht hoch für ein so simples Werkzeug ist. Würde es aber trotzdem immer wieder kaufen.
